Review of Robert Plant’s “Band Of Joy” with a lengthy mention of discovering Lu along the way, and some thoughts on the recent AMA show in Nashville.

Thanks for the link, Lafayette. I love the quote, “And so Lucinda Williams became my gateway drug to the whole alt.country/roots movement”! Also, the “shout out” to my favorite movie of all-time, O Brother, Where Art Thou? was cool to see…

I’ve been meaning to pick up a copy of Band of Joy – have you heard it? If so, what are your impressions?

I have heard several songs from “Band Of Joy” both on WNKU (October’s CD Of The Month) AND not be be forgotten, the “surprise” AMA appearance where he played with the “Band Of Joy” after the awards ceremony.

My favorites are “Central Two O-Nine,” “You Can’t Buy My Love,” “Cindy, I’ll Marry You Someday” 😆 (a favorite of mine as a child) and my absolute favorite “Falling In Love Again.”

I think it’s well worth the investment, tnt.

Thanks, Lafayette. It’s on my list (much to the chagrin of my lovely wife)… 😉
