Not sure if anyone here knows of this performer.
Robert Francis.
http://www.robertfrancisofficial.com/We just saw him open for Brett Dennen at the Wiltern. He was excellent.
I have seen a lot of opening performers for shows and it is not often that I felt they were better than the main show. Brett seemed almost already bored with it all – like he had to entertain himself to get through the night. He had been much better when we saw him a few years back at the El Rey.
Robert on the other hand was all about the music. Great lyrics and incredible emotion.
I’d love to see him open for LU – it would be a perfect night 🙂
Speaking of Lu -It felt like she performed in LA less times in 09, we missed her.
And, we had been spoiled by the El Rey 4 nights – EXCELLENT!Hoping she’ll be performing here early in her next touring.
