Anyone going to this one? A good friend of mine, a Mellenhead, is attending. He hails from Mt. Shasta, CA. He told me he and his wife, as he refers to as Ma & Pa Kettle, are headed into town for dinner and a show. A Lu show. Made me smile.

Me and my Ma Kettle got a cabin near Shasta Lake and are catching a couple shows
at the very cool looking venue..SamishSeaMike, you always make a nice road trip around Lu shows, so it seems. 😀
My friend has front row center seats in the balcony. Let me know if a preshow is planned, perhaps he and his wife can drop in for drinks before or after dinner. There’s no doubt in my mind he will fit right in with the Lu gang.
Very true, Lafayette.. Catching Lu at the house of blues NO and stubbs austin last year
(and a bunch in b’tween) was the best concert attending year of my LIFE!Definitely try to string a few sows together and take advantage of the trip..
Following her up to the Vancouver Folk festival, and that may be about it for this year..How about you?
Perhaps catching a show or two as they head east ??(Not sure of the name of it, but there’s a very cool looking old school steak house in Redding

The Cincinnati (Covington) show is my hometown, so to speak, but returning on a late flight from vacation and hoping I can catch Lu’s set. If my flight lands on time, I should be good to go. My husband is dropping me off at the venue and I’m catching a ride home with THE stoger. Then stoger and I are proceeding to Nelsonville, and I’m hoping I have enough energy to make it to Pittsburgh. Will be a first for me to do 3 Lu shows in a row. Would love to fly to NYC but not in the cards.
Looking forward to set list and details. Ma & Pa Kettle will be doing preshow at Girondas. I hear they have a good selection of food. 😀
Greetings, everyone, from the second sunniest city in America, “where the sun shines 88% of the time.” Do tell. I’d go for a 12% day, but at least there’s no Tennessee humidity in the air. . . .
Been to Heavenly Donuts twice already. More cultural/artistic narratives to follow. Could somebody who’s coming review and update any plans for drinks or dinner prior to show?

Well, my buddy and his wife and another couple will be at Gironda’s at 5:30 p.m. if no one else comes forth with pre show dinner plans. He usually is dressed in a Hawaiian shirt and wears a fedora .
Gironda’s, according to website, is Chicago style Italian. I told him to be on the lookout for you if you so choose. I forwarded our photo op outside First Avenue before Lu & Tom’s wedding.

No pre-show visits to Nabokov’s former office area or readings with “Lolita” invoved, lefty–and quite the opposite to Ithaca’s climate.
The souvenir ticket for tonight has the artist’s first name only emboldened up top: no surname needed for this chick singer. I particularly appreciate this, after having made my NYC August ticketmaster purchases just earlier today. . . .
