A few photos of Lucinda at Red Rocks Amphitheater this past summer opening for Mellencamp.

Not a mistake. JCM draws a much larger audience than Lu, and JCM is a fan of hers. Tom’s objective was exposing a brouder audience to her increadible sound. This obviously worked because Layfayette is now a huge new LW fan. Hopefully I’m not speaking out of step her Layfayette, but I know you are buying alcums and tickets you wouldn’t have if she hadn’t toured with Mellencamp.
Also, to insult JCM to a huge JCM fan is just not the right thing to do. We all have our favorites. We are all music fans here.
Peace Be Upon Us,
Steve

I know how many feel about Mr. Mellencamp in this forum. I let it roll but thanks Steve for feeling you needed to do a shout out for me.
I can handle facetious. I can even handle sarcasm. But, yes, I found Lu through Mr. Mellencamp. Actually, it was his cover of “Lafayette” on “Trouble No More.” I was doing back flips when she was announced as opener on his tour this past summer, because, for whatever reason, I never caught her live before . I saw her 5 times on this tour. I only wish I was in Berkeley (and I think LA) when Andy and Dane joined her and the band.
Yes, I am a Lu fan, too, not as involved as many of you are here, but a fan just the same. I don’t join many forums but felt compelled and drawn to this one. I love reading the discussions, and to everyone here, you are very lucky in the respect of set lists. Lu changes it up from show to show, even looks like she pulls some rarities out. If there is one complaint (and only one ;-0) that I have about Mr. Mellencamp, he hardly EVER does that. Once he has his set list tweaked, that’ s it.
My goal is to own and listen to ALL of Lu’s music and explore as much as I can. I find her and her words and music intriguing and I have Mr. Mellencamp to thank, more or less, for invariably steering me here.
