It was a great night out on the rustic dusty Montana plains -and beneath that beautiful Big Sky moon. Lu noticed that moon as she was walking back to the bus after the show so we got some pictures. With Lu going on at 10 we had a little fear that the crowd would still be ready to go after a long day in the hot sun. That fear was removed the minute Lu walked out on stage. We got messages from people the next day saying how much they loved the show -just wanted to say thank you for those. We did get one from a woman who was upset that Lu was “all messed up” and couldn’t sing -no,Pixie, it’s ok if you don’t like her music but Lucinda was not messed up and she sang her ass off. I think the 5000 ? or more? that stayed until the very end verified that. What is it -has she never heard a southern accent before? Also just want to say a big thank you to everyone who put on the festival and all the workers -everyone was really great. So we forgot to ask – Red Ants Pants? What’s the story behind the name ? Inquiring minds want to know.Ha: Lu “messed up” = the top of the line for most every other hyper-sober performer.
And yes, Red Pants is almost as enigmatic as “Blue Balls Festival” in Switzerland, which Lu played some years back.
