❓ Hmmmm. To each their own, but I like her new look very much. Even if I didn’t, it sure wouldn’t be a distraction during a performance for me.

It’s funny, when I saw Lucinda Williams’s performance in Austin, the first thing that popped into my head when she came on stage was that she looked like herself. The change to Buick 6 reworked each song in a way that I thought had about the same sense of rightness about it.
At least that’s my dos centavos.

Lucinda’s hair is dark in the 1998 Austin City Limits DVD and she looks great. Her hair is Blonde in the 1989 Austin City Limits DVD and she looks great. I’ve seen here live both ways many times. Cheryl Crowes hair was dark in her 1999 Rocking the Globe Live DVD, and blonde in the 2003 C’mon America DVD and tour. She certainly is beautiful in both colors, and I’ve seen her perform live both ways. My wifes hair is dark, it would be inteesting to see her come home one day as a blonde. Oh wait is that too much information? ha ha.
The point being that hair color is probably not going to affect the ladies beauty, or certainly her ability to sing and play music.
