Pre-Grammy Salute & Tribute to Glenn Frey

The evening began with our friend, Shannon McNally, singing into a microphone at center stage. The show progressed with 1-song sets by musicians associated with Glenn Frey, and climaxed with Brandi Carlile and Bonnie Raitt singing “Peaceful Easy Feeling”, and the entire ensemble closing with “Take It Easy”.

Forum member grumpymama was in attendance, among many other famous music-types, who I didn’t know.

A pleasant 2.5 hours for a Saturday night, more enjoyable with my welcomed access to the upstairs sitting lounge.

Well done, Paul. I’m curious as to whether you learned of this event via Shannon’s website, or elsewhere. At any rate, you seemed VIP. And “grumpymama” is as good a name as any big musician, for my money.
