Fun show! Lu was having difficulty with the monitor mix in the beginning–said she was having “synch problems”- from the audience the mix was definately off-way too much drums and the overall volume was much too loud! While the band was rockin, they certainly were not very polished-a missed bass note and off harmonies were tough to hear.. a bit loose for my liking-perhaps I just still miss Doug- His connection with Lu was simply magical… not to take anything away from these guys-guess I’m into more sensative playing…and listening from the band.. complex thoughtful passages-not always jamming out like they did last night…Lu voice was stellar! While there were certainly highlights and moments of magic..Something About What Happens, Blue, Still I Long For Your Kiss…. other songs were not so tight and frankly were over the top loud- little dynamics tonight…I had a blast-just wasn’t in my top 10 Lu shows…

First time I’ve seen her , thought show was great once her “synch” problems were solved. Her voice was strong, band tight too , but drums a little loud. Is she always so distant to crowd ? The lengthy spaces between songs in the beginning made it quiet and uncomfortable . Hard to get into it when it seemed she was not having much fun herself…..,1st 4 songs were were a struggle…but it really came together after that…great guitars and she has so many great songs .

I wonder what her aversion is to the s/t album?

There are so many amazing songs off that record yet she rarely strays from JWSYSB, Locks, and Crescent City?

I’m excited to see her tomorrow and hopefully she does more than 2 songs off of S/T. I’d die for Like A Rose or Am I Too Blue!
