A cool new video has just been posted for “Never Did Belong” from Pieta’s New album, One And All.

I love Pieta’s music. She is easily in my “Top 5″…

Well, well, well! Being on Facebook does “pay”!

I “like” Pieta Brown’s fan page on FB and, a couple of weeks ago, her record label, Red House, announced a little contest. Just post your favorite Pieta song on their page and they’d draw two winners “from a hat”. Winners received an autographed EP & a t-shirt and… I won!

The best part is that while I thought I had all of her CDs, EPs included, I did not have this one (Flight Time)! For some reason, it is not listed at http://www.allmusic.com (my “Bible” for all things music). Of course, I love this EP now that I’ve heard it, like all of her other recordings.

    Thanks, Pieta!

    Nice prize tnt.
    Does the shirt fit?
I guess you can’t win if you don’t enter. I see lots of these little contests but say to myself, I’m not lucky and don’t bother entering.
However, two years ago as a Sirius satellite subscriber, I did enter the contest for a trip to see Lucinda in October, 2008 at Madison Square Gdns.
Someday, I hope to see Pieta and Bo in concert.

Thx Tom. This is a Sunday night show opening for Jim Lauderdale at McCabes. I’m going to invoke my new rule (that so far hasn’t worked) about staying out late on a work night. I’m sure Paul will be there.

Pieta and Bo were brilliant last night at McCabes. After her set, Pieta signed albums and posters in the front room.

For folks in the Los Angeles area this week, remember EmmyLou Harris, Buddy Miller, and Patty Griffin on Tuesday night at the Greek Theater, and Gillian Welch with David Rawlings on Thursday night at the Music Box.

We saw Pieta & Bo perform at a house concert last night here in Atlanta. They were fantastic; mesmerizing, even. She signed a couple of gig posters for me afterwards. A great evening, in a wonderful, intimate environment…

Thanks to Tom T and this thread, I finally purchased Remember the Sun & Mercury. They have been in constant rotation the last two weeks with no signs of slowing down.

    Love her!
