Going over to Schwenksville to see Lucinda and maybe a couple duets with Steve Earle (You’re Still Standing There?). Not figuring I will get as close as Raleigh Museum Concert last summer (sat underneath Lucinda and admired for 2 hours). Sooo, Lucinda, can you give a shout out for Marjie and play either “Mama You Sweet” or “Lines Around Your Eyes?” Keep in mind I am tent camping and not even sure if I will get a chance to BATHE over the weekend! All the best. Oh, and I braved the Phila. snowstorm, the only one last winter, so pretty, pretty, pretty please!

“Lucinda Williams took the stage as the lone female of the night but didn’t back down. Her powerful songwriting and roots rock arrangements poured out onto the hill.”
The link.

For Stoger (the member with an affinity for smart phones and Facebook ) 😆 a pic with Steve Earle from Facebook. There are lots of great comments posted there too.[attachment=0:2u65bu9a]Lu and Steve Earle Philly Folk Fest.jpg[/attachment:2u65bu9a]lwj

Honey BeeAugust 20, 2012 at 5:20 pm #50336stogerParticipantThanks for digging this up, Tony. “Rhon” was planning to go, and perhaps we will still hear from her, even though she has lost her password here. As “S. . ./Stowaway” can attest, you can sign back in with a different handle and join the fray once more.

Better yet, there is an “I forgot my password” link underneath the user name & password entry fields on the sign-on screen. Click it, and an e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address you originally registered with containing instructions on resetting your password…

I guess I shouldn’t have talked her into trying the electric on Hard Times, Joy and Honey Bee. I thought it worked (in the big outdoor setting) but she disagreed.
August 22, 2012 at 12:16 am #50334tonygKeymasterNot all good ideas are immediately appreciated, Tom. Or ever, sometimes. 🙄

Oh my. And I guess we can forget about any additional verses to “Protection” now too. . . 😀
August 22, 2012 at 9:09 pm #50332TOverbyParticipantIt got worked out -she played Honey Bee on acoustic the next night in Boston and agreed with me that that didn’t really work either. Just a matter of finding the right guitar tones for those songs.
August 23, 2012 at 12:47 am #50333fuji81ParticipantSpeaking of guitar tone….it’s great to have Doug P back.
