Rockin In The Free WorldRemarked there were not too many venues like the TLA left. Some coughing during Dust, due to “the weed” consumption in the audience. It was kind of thick. Shout out to Amos Lee, who was in the house. Really great crowd. Really great show. I think I got the order right. Visions if you were there, please feel free to correct and supplement.

Got to the TLA around 7:30, there was like no one there, could have grabbed the rail to the sides, instead ended up 2nd row between Lu and Stuart. Filled up quick after that.
I know I say this after every Lu show, but her sound is f’n killer. I saw Grace Potter last Sat in Radio City, from 20th row DFC which should be the sweet spot, and the contrast between the clarity of Lu’s sound and Grace’s muddy system (unfortunately) couldn’t be more stark. Kudos to all those involved in the FOH setup.
The weed was pretty funny, Stuart took both hands and waved the smell up to his face. Lu then mentioned that she doesn’t smoke anymore, but Stuart still does…at which point someone threw what appeared to be a joint on stage. Great smelling stuff btw.
My friend was kind of stunned (in a good way) after the show, asking me if all her shows are like this. “Pretty much,” is how I replied.
What a band. Keep on rockin.
October 14, 2015 at 3:11 pm #54663stogerParticipantThanks you two. The full title is “Ghost of Highway 20”; I’ve just been abbreviating it. I think it’s “Ghost” singular, that is. I’d like to think the coughing during “Dust” (and what an appropriate title for that to happen during) was at exactly the same point in time when Bernie Sanders was asked about his cannabis use in the Democratic debate. Yes, TLA was one of my first Lu shows ever, summer ’02, Chuck prophet playing the Buick 6 role. Good times, good mems.
October 14, 2015 at 3:53 pm #54664DDinNJParticipantYes, 2 Kool in there as well. I think after Dust. Sorry for the defective set list. That is two in a row for me. I feel like Lu’s confused taxi driver from last night who could not find the venue. Lu was slightly late last night, due to a taxi driver who apparently did not know the location of the TLA, HUH??
October 14, 2015 at 7:53 pm #54665TomOverbyParticipantCrazy day yesterday -as Lu explained during the show. First the Uber driver didn’t show up so we grabbed a cab and he got us close to the venue but then just pulled at which point we had our own debate -about where the hell we were. SO we circled the block and Lu saw the marquee and we got out there -then found tour mgr Chris and walked around to the back entrance. A big deep breath was needed at that point. But all’s well that ends well.
The title is The Ghosts Of Highway 20

Thanks for the plural clarification on the title. Makes sense that Vicksburg, Jackson, Macon, etc. might all have separate ghostly auras.
South St. Philly is probably not the place you want to be a pedestrian making the block. Uber is not infallible, this proves, but it probably is superior overall to cabs.
