Let’s start a new thread to separate the setlist from the “sold-out” thread.

The Peekskill show was an extremely comfortable, mellow, well-managed operation. The theater was beautiful and well maintained, the seats were comfortable, purchased beer/wine could be brought to the seats, and the audience was super mellow, appreciative, and well-behaved in a good way, not a boring way. We were rewarded with a long, beautiful show–actually a show in 2 phases: the sitdown phase, and the stand-up phase, ala Nashville last year.

    The setlist:

    1. Happy Woman Blues
    2. People Talkin’
    3. Well, Well, Well
    4. Pineola
    5. Drunken Angel (Chet on harmonica)
    6. Can’t Let Go
    7. Side of the Road
    8. Memphis Pearl (Chet on mandolin)
    9. Jackson
    10. Blue
    11. Tears of Joy
    12. Real Love
    13. Little Rock Star
    14. Essence
    15. Bleeding Fingers
    16. Changed the Locks
    17. Come On
    18. Fruits of My Labor (Chet on harmonica)

At this point, Lucinda started (19) Over Time, and stopped to discuss some enhancements with the band. She then observed too much empty space (about 10 feet) between the stage and first row of the seated audience; accordingly, Lucinda asked the audience to stand, move-up, and fill-in the empty space. Consequently, the remainder of the show had a large group standing, swaying, and dancing in front of the stage. Over Time was not continued, and the show resumed with:

    20. HoneyBee
    21. Joy
    22. Righteously

    (first encore)

    23. Motherless Children
    24. Disgusted
    25. Things I Used To Do
    26. Long Way to the Top

    (second encore)

    27. Ode to Billie Joe
    28. Every Picture Tells A Story

Time to pass the baton to the reviewers for the Northeast shows. Enjoy…

further evidence (proof) that lucinda likes — needs — a standing GA audience up close (as smartly observed by Lafayette in another recent thread)….

Thanks Paul. Any contrasts between Montclair and Peekskill (other than a coat check)?

Indeed. Like paul_from_LA commented here (and I as well in the “Peekskill Sold Out” thread), the same thing happened at Veteran’s War Memorial Auditorium in Nashville last year (paul_from_LA & stoger were both there). The energy level (& fun, I might add) increased dramatically when the crowd “rushed” the stage. Having been to many of both types of shows (seated & standing), I much prefer the standing (although my feet & back don’t), as does Lu, having mentioned it herself after the aforementioned Nashville show…

Sounds like a nice, long show. 28 (or 27 and a half songs) is really getting up there. Must have been kind of a funny seque from Fruits and the beginning of Over Time to a “f it” lets just stand up and rock.

Ah, LOVE the request to fill in the gaps! Perfectly executed on Lu’s part as it doesn’t drain (as much) the energy from the fans that are standing and rocking it out by being told to sit down by the ones behind them (as mentioned in another thread). That’s so true. It’s hard to imagine a “Sit down, I can’t see” is going to fly when Lucinda is the one asking everyone to come forward !

I will join you on your pledge. Next time, however, I need to check the belt on the jacket I was holding. I think I was hitting Stoger with it as I was swaying.

Minor bruises, Lafayette, scarcely noticeable now, over a week later. All in the name of Lu fandom. . .
