something unusual happened Sunday night Nov 6 at the Paul Simon show in OKC. we got there early and noticed they were setting up some instruments (a couple of guitars, amps, electric piano, snare drum, etc) in the inside lobby next to the t-shirt tables. they were selling beer outside by the ticket booth and as i got one (side note: dont EVER buy ale made in OKC, it is NASTY!) i asked the girl what was going on inside. she said the Simon show was going to be delayed due to some type of technical problems, so he was going to do a few songs in the lobby to kill some time before the stage show started. we went over to the coffee shop and i somehow downed my beer, and then mosied back to the doors which were open and most people were heading to their regular seats. there were a few people hanging around where the instruments were set up, so we decided to hang out there and see if it was gonna happen. well about 7:45 (show was supposed to start at 7:30, we noticed people pouring back out of the auditorium and filling up all the stairways and access areas back out around and above where we were situated, and lo and behold, here comes Simon and his band and the openers, the Punch Brothers (a NYC new bluegrass group) he apologized for the delay and said they were going to play a few songs not in tonights program. there was a guy and his girlfriend in front of my wife and me, so i was the 4th person back from the rope, so they played Me and Julio, Mrs Robinson, the Boxer, and Cecilia. the guy was about 8 feet away right in front of me!
anyway, it was way cool. and then they left, we took our seats and then we enjoyed the full show with 3 encores!!!!!!!!Paul Simon

Also sounds like a helluva long show at 30 songs.
