Any buzz on the afternoon set in Florida some 16 hours after Texas ended?

Could just find one picture to share from the Gulf Place Amphitheater.
Wonder if West Words made the journey as she expressed the possibility quite some time ago.

Many thanks stoger for your outstanding reporting. Back to class now ?

Thanks for the sunglasses-donned X 2 photo, Lwj. And yes, where is westwords these days anyway–floating in cyberspace, or anchored in her Sunshine State roots? Classes start next week, i.e., not before Birmingham and Louisville!

Perhaps the-poster-formerly-known-as-Inside-Job will add some words to the visual here.

Otherwise this would be the first show from which we will not receive a report/setlist? Horrors. 😥

So Perfessor is the plan to get to Georgia and crash at Chez Tracy’s , drive to Birmingham and then on to rendevouz with Lafayette in Louisville ?

Jackson and People Talkin’-here you go video wise from Florida.

I have fingers crossed I will be crossing paths with stoger in Louisville. A wintry mix is forecast for Thursday in Louisville (Looville) as was here at home. That forecast today has changed to clear in my hometown, so more than likely I will be driving towards/ thru the wintry mix as I make my way south. We’ll see. It could all change in a few days. My car is all wheel drive but if it’s ice, AWD doesn’t help.

Great sound LWj! No setlist yet, but it looks like a family/kid type crowd. I wonder if any news words were learned by the younger set.

    Hi ya’ll,
I don’t post often, but I couldn’t leave you all hanging!
I didn’t write down the setlist, but off of the top of my head here’s what I remember:

She opened solo with Passionate Kisses (Lucinda acknowledged that Mary Chapin Carpenter played the fest the day before) before Doug joined her.

The rest that I recall, in no particular order:
    Can’t Let Go
    Pineola
a new song from the tv series Nashville
    a Skip James cover
    People Talkin
    Crescent City
    Car Wheels
    Drunken Angel
    I Lost It
    Jackson
    Joy
    Honey Bee
    Changed the Locks

I’m sure I’m forgetting something or got something wrong; hopefully, someone else will chime in.

The show was awesome, the sound was theater quality, and Lucinda sounded great. Even though I love the full band, I enjoyed seeing just her and Doug and hearing the sparser arrangements. We waited in line to get into the venue and sat in the second row with Lucinda’s aunt and other family who were friendly, lovely, and sweet. Lucinda talked to the crowd a bit more than usual – it was nice to hear more from her!

Even though it was a shorter, festival set, I left feeling quite fulfilled. BTW, it’s a great festival – we spent three days listening to great music from veterans and up and coming acts in a beautiful setting.

    Cheers!
    Sue

Fourteen songs, generous for a festival: thanks, Sue. “Bitter Memory” and “Hard Time Killing floor Blues” seem to be the fourth and fifth titles above. And let’s assume the aunt you sat with was another than the [in]famed Aunt Verna of Monroe, LA/”Fancy Funeral”/Uncle Cecil fame.

TO…is Sue’s set list correct? This show is the only one on this run that has not been entered at setlist.fm. 😉
