Let’s hope the Stardust is safely indoors, so the props and equipment won’t tumble through the breeze.

“backroads,” are you safely onsite with good INternet access?

I apologize for not posting earlier- just been constantly on the go until about 1:30 a.m. every day. And yes the Stardust is the indoor theatre here on board, though the weather has been great all week. Here’s the set list from 2/21. Keep in mind that sets are 75 minutes long. Also, I’ll update this thread with the set lists from later in the week.

Whew–for the opening photo moment there, I saw only one guitarist and panicked: never fear, our Californian/North Carolinian on pedal steel cropped up (was almost cropped out) in the next pic. Hats off to the Lu headgear. . .

Nice job, back streets–no pressure of course. And yes, I imagine the weather tops Iowa climes this month, for sure.

Good to see “Ventura” in there. Is the first song a cover or a new Lu song? And I texted you about my whereabouts, backstreets, so when you get reception again that will await you.

I believe the title is I Don’t Want to Hang Up My Rock and Roll Shoes. It is a cover of a song from 1958. I saw The Band cover it once. Backstreets can confirm.

Tonyg is right about Rock and Roll shoes – I omitted the word “up”. And yes, it’s a cover. I saw Springsteen perform it at on the final stop of his 2009 tour in Buffalo.

Following is Lu’s portion of the 2/26 guitar pull, for which Stuart provided the accompaniment:

Pineola (with some harmonica from Steve Earle)
What Could Go Wrong Working on a Song (I’m told this was also done at a John Prine tribute)
When the Way Gets Dark (think this may be a new one)
    Good Souls

That’s it from the high seas. Looking forward to getting back to a normal routine after six days of overindulging, grabbing quick bites between shows, and late nights.

Meaty report stuff for a vegetarian, backstreets/mike. Of course I should have remembered the Rock and Roll Shoes thing was an old cover, picked by Tom and played a time or two in the recent past. Wishful thinking on my part that it was a newbie. Somehow “when the way gets dark” seems a familiar Lu lyric, but I can’t place it and could be wrong–would love to learn it is in fact a NEW song.

Yes, the song about Lucinda trying to co-write with Prine was played at the Ryman tribute; though I wasn’t there, I know for a fact that tour manager Travis Stephens sat in on guitar! Would love to think he “pull”[ed] his weight at this event and was on stage also. But re-reading before sending, it seems only Stu was there.

Lots of interstates between southern FL and Iowa, so let Mrs. Backstreets do the drivin’ when you get weary. Thanks for the reports.
