No.. I don;t twitter, nor do I tweets or engage in tweeting in any shape form or fashion…

I am a little upset though, I just got of the phone with my friend Sherri. It sems that the CD’s that we bought at the show were not the orginal CD’s, but SPecial Live Versions of the Orginal CD… Kinda bummed on that one.. Cause I plan on getting all of her original cd’s and the Live at the Filmore… So now I am two cd’s behind already….

Lafayette.. Yes.. I’ll zap you a pm.. Helping me get a poster for my shop would be great… It will go right between my Bobbie Gentry and Susan Tedeschi.

Thanks Stoger for all your reports from this tour,I’m the fan you met in Dallas and at The DB briefly.
We managed to kind of book end this tour, and wish we could have caught more dates…….oh well.
As for the show itself, loved it.Having seen quite a few shows over the years,in many different venues I was impressed yet again,as was my 6 year old grandson Korbin who made me promise to take him to see “Lucindy”,it was his first ever concert and he had a great time,we positioned ourselves off to Chets side of the stage where we had a great, different view of the show.He managed with the aid of security to give Lu a rose during the show and the visit with her after the show was,(to use a much quoted phrase) “priceless”,thanks to Lu ,Tom and all involved for making one of your youngest fans night.Mine was pretty darned good too.
Ok backtracking a bit,This was by far the shortest trip we’ve taken for a Lucinda show just 70 miles so thanks for that, now about the Diamond Ballroom ???? it is like a 4H barn on first appearences succinctly put by bassist Dave, but actually was not bad for a live show,a very shall we say “raw roadhouse” kind of a place !! But it is certainly in the middle of nowhere, sorry for the lack of amenities Stoger.Thankfully didn’t see any of the reported “loose women” having issues !!
Enjoyed Buick 6’s stylings allthough they seemed a bit shorter than usuall ? Lu played a hell of a show after a bit of a sore throat/ricketty opener, the band was spot on and even with the set changing huddles played almost flawlessly.Butch and Dave where a powerhouse,Chet’s many talents seem to continue to evolve since we first saw/met him at the Longhorn Ballroom in Dallas a couple of years back.Eric seems to be fitting in well, and of course Lu led us all along for a great evening, loved the end of the tour improv setlist abandonment.Highlights for me, “Wishes” “Are you allright” and “Jackson” don’t recall “Car Wheels” though ? might have been during one of those 6 year olds bathroom breaks but don’t remeber it…hmmm? I think the band was definately on an end of tour high, everyone seemed genuinely upbeat and having a good time.We had a great night and will be looking forward to seeing more shows upon your return.
So in closing thanks for another great tour, and best of luck over there in Europe, wish I could get back to England and catch the Cambridge FF show, that being my old neck of the woods, might be a good time to visit family. 😀 By the way Lu your sighned concert poster is in prime position in a certain 6 year olds room and he says to tell you he’s still “secure” thanks again.

Actually.. The Diamond Ballroom is a good venue… My little Club itself is just less than 1/2 mile away.

It may seem likes it’s no where, but it’s not… It sits on I-240 just down the road from a couple hotels. Hooters, Bike Night and resturant row…

Heck, you could throw a rock from there and hit my club and my house too…

But again. For these past few years the place has catered to kids, trash Metal, and punk bands… Should they continue with better bands, it would be good for the old DB.

    Big Dunc,
It was nice talking to you. I was the guy in the yellow Wilco shirt after the show. How big of a jerk was that security guard? I know he was just doing his job, but wow, he had NO people skills.
Hope you and your family had a safe trip back. I was tired but on a lucinda high all the way home to stillwater.

Hey ParkerCA,Great chatting with you also, nice to put some faces with some of the people on this Forum.Yeah Mr Clean the security guard was quite the jerk, the other security guys where pretty cool throughout the show .Actually saw him leaving as we where leaving,I know you and Stoger where still visiting,so maybe someone told him it was time for HIM to go home.
My drive back to Medicine Park was smooth sailing, both my passengers hit the wall and napped out on me 😀 ,but I think I was on the same Lu high as you.Hope you got your albums signed.

I did. I already have a place in my office where I’m going to hang them. Gotta get some album frames first.

Going to go see Steve Earle tomorrow night in Dallas. It has been quite the week for shows.

Okay, so that is a great setlist to finish off a tour with! (And sounds like an interesting venue.)

BigDunc – my 7yo son would be extremely jealous of your grandson! He’s itching to go to a “Lucindia” concert, as he calls her, as we live thousands of miles away, it’s quite unlikely (unless she comes to NZ again???). I promised him that if I ever win the lottery, then the whole family can go to the US and go to a few Lucinda shows. His whole face lit up – the sweet innocence of a child, that doesn’t comprehend the likelihood of that happening 😀
