Sorry to double-post the following info, but I felt it newsworthy enough to start a separate thread from the “Fall Shows” one –
High Road Touring just updated Lu’s tour schedule with TWO 3-night stands this October! One in NYC (Oct 3-5) & one in Chicago (Oct 13-15)!! 😯 😯 😯
Here is a link to the complete (so far) schedule.

I have fingers crossed to make it to at least one of those. NYC is not going to work for me now and I so want to catch one of these celebration shows.
Yeeehaaaaaaaaw!

Well, truth is, I’m in a little bit of a quandary. The NYC dates work better for me, but, everything else being equal, I’d rather go to the Chicago shows. But I want to know more about the venues. Are they both about the same size? Seated? Standing? One thing I think is definite – we are going to attend all 3 shows in one city or the other…

July 15, 2009 at 2:12 pm #40216tntracyParticipantWell, I discovered at LiveNation’s Website that Fillmore East at Irving Plaza is standing only. And, apparently Park West in Chicago can be configured seating or standing. Knowing Lu’s preference, I would think it would be set up for standing at least at the front for the three shows there.

October 13-15 sounds good for me, though it’ll be hell driving back and forth from WI to the shows. Especially after recovering from my wedding the Saturday before. I don’t know if I’ll hit all three or not…it depends on whether it’s just a regular three-night stand (not that that’s anything to be dismissive about, of course 🙂 ) or if something extra-special is planned.

If your bride-to-be will tolerate your going to Lu shows less than a week after the wedding, I’d say you picked the right lady to marry! 8)

FYI, I have it on good authority that these 3 shows, as well as the 3 in NYC, are special shows celebrating Lu’s 30 years of making great music. I’m sure Tom O. will be posting up some time soon with details…
