From Tom:
What could be better. A beautiful day near the ocean- a sold out show on the pier. But there was one little detail.
“What?”
“This is uhhh.. a dry county”
“D-R-Y, dry?”
“Uhh, yeah”
Needless to say Lu likes it when the audience can imbibe as it makes for a, shall we say, livelier crowd. But OC was great -warm audience -a beautiful indoor room right on the pier where you could see the ocean. Lu of course asked if they could open the windows.
Passionate Kisses made it’s first appearance in a long time-possibly this year but we’ll have to get the research dept on that.
And yes we actually did play a Bruce song in New Jersey without causing a riot. That alone made for a successful night.
Hope we can do the Pier again sometime.
Huh? A dry county, outside the American South? Unbelievable: maybe this is why, subconsciously, I chose to miss this one. Oh well. Let’s have a listen to the John Paul Keith song “Dry County” (Keith’s a Tennesseean), provided lwj or someone can dig up a link off his next-to-last album, which might be called Memphis Circa 3 A.M.
