Well I wish I had better news to report.
    Strange… strange… night.

I noticed about 10 minutes into Jesse’s opening set a bunch of crew people running around and someone stopped to tell Jesse something in between a song.

Next thing we know, Malin’s set is still going on after 1 hour. 5 minutes later he finishes.

Venue people come out with the uncomfortable news that Lu and band will NOT be performing tonight and that all have tested positive with Covid.

Seems a little off being so last minute, with everything all set up and ready to go.

    Drove 4 hours… Ugh! 🙁

Per our skins hitting Butch Norton, Lu came down with a headache and started feeling unwell after eating dinner, she, and a few other band members tested positive. Butch is in the clear as of now.

Next two weeks worth of shows are canned.

This hits hard, and I’m especially sorry for seangod and his driving distance. Thanks for the report despite all, seangod.

Home now, hopefully Lu gets well soon and they can reschedule these New England area shows or at least come back to the area some time soon.

Last nights show was sold out, so tough to tell a full house to get out and go home!

This also would have been my first Lu headliner show :/!

Ouch; I feel even worse for you now. At least you had Lu/Raitt in Boston. Your day will come, seangod, for some Lu headlining action.

Just heard from the venue that Norwalk has been cancelled and that they will be refunding all tickets. They did mention that Lu will be touring in 2023 backing her newly anticipated album to be released in Winter 2023… The venue hopes to book a date with her then.

Bummer. I had heard NYC City Winery would be late Jan. 2023, right after the return from Europe, and that Norwalk might be squeezed in then. But I think Lucinda and the band decided to give themselves a [much deserved] break after Europe. Your day will come, seangod.
