Yes, Ray–but can I take the both of them in a three-way battle royal, if it comes to that?!?!?
STEEL CAGE DEATH MATCH. NO HOLDS BARRED. THIS HAS PAY-PER-VIEW WRITTEN ALL OVER IT. ❗

the Cha-Cha in Ra -cha-cha? The Scenario on Ontario? Whoa dudes, I’m glad i only asked the merch girl for a Buick6 CD — I don’t want to step into this! (Don’t scare her off so that this summer she’s selling t-shirts for Neko… 😮 )

Wish I could join you all. Love that part of the country, snow and ice and rusty belts and all. Last call for Lu before a long trip down under… Should be great. Enjoy! Full reports expected.

Wishful thinking, no doubt, LWj, but I think we’re in for an excellent show this Sat. I believe Fuji will be there…who else is coming to the Flower City?

I fancied a trip, but the lovely wife, ever the frugal one, shot my wishful thinking down in flames… 😥

Never count me out. Speaking of counts, who’s refereeing the merch table-area bout at intermission? Someone has to send me to a neutral corner when I give a “left[y]” hook to one of my rivals.

I was lucky enough to be sitting third row center (thank you Jay!!) and brought my little point and shoot Canon to this show (I usually shoot w/a Nikon D80). I have posted the photos to my website: http://www.photosbynanci.com/Lucinda2009.html
    Hope you like the shots!

Nice, Nancy. Thanks for posting. I’m liking those dark tresses of Lu’s more and more.

Rather a hectic week, but tonight I finally have time to collect my thoughts. We made it front and center to the Calvin. I am so happy Buick 6 opens and get their fair share of praise independently. We are lucky to be able to see them find their new path, and meld rather than support. Their set always speeds by for me, and this time I found myself smiling through most of it. I am pretty obsessed with Butch, more so without Dougie, and when the drum solo takes flight, I am just zoned.

In Northampton, Lucinda did appear to be calmer (no false starts) and more confident like she was the first times I saw her in the late 80’s. I loved her growling period, beginning in 2004, but this is from the gut.

    My personal highlights:
    BLUE
    RARITY
    LITTLE ROCK STAR
    MOTHERLESS CHILD

We waited around to request a set-list, which she stuck too pretty much, but ANGEL was listed for the encore, which didn’t happen. Not complaining, because I loved the set-list and will always charge to see Lu perform.

I adore this woman. She holds a special place in my heart. When we got home, had to watch the Charlie Rose Lucinda interview dvd from 9/10/2001. Lucinda’s New Haven concert was my last concert prior to 9/11, with Pete Seegar being my first post 9/11 concert.

This lucky fan got a pleasant surprise, when the guitar tech, not Flappy, but the other guy, Lefty or Tim help me here, came from backstage directly to me and gave me a drumhead signed by Butch… saying:
    “Lu Little Honey”
    Tour 2009
    Butch “A Modest Man”
    signature

Tom, please say thanks to Butch. The memorbelia is hanging my music wall.

Please, please, please Lucinda, perform at the Newport Folk Festival 50th Anniversay this year.

Nancy, thanks for the photo link. Most enjoyable!

Thank you all for posting your thoughts. I really feel part of a great community here.

I believe your setlist benefactor was either Gil or Nick, guitar techs extraordinnaire. Gil is the portlier of the two.

    Thanks.

Then it was Gil. So a shout out thanks to Gil.

Does Nick have a nickname, and if not, where is Flappy?
