Oh, I long to come to NYC. I was this close [ ] but realized I promised my brother a visit to see him in Chicago the weekend prior.
Oh, but NYC would be sooooo easy, no changing hotels, no travelling between shows, etc. PLUS, that week is a milestone birthday for moi. You need to be there. Perhaps check to see if your bro even remembers your promise? ๐
Oh, he remembers… ๐ฎ
I would love to help you celebrate your birthday! Dang, I’m overbooked that week, actually. Trip to Chicago for the weekend and then we have tickets for Train on Wednesday and then a friend comes in from PA on Thursday for a show with her numero uno…so coming up to NYC would be overwhelming.
One day the Four Horsemen stars will align again…
July 11, 2012 at 6:48 pm #49762lkaufmanParticipantTom, will the NYC and Brooklyn shows be duo with Doug? Thanks lee
July 11, 2012 at 7:59 pm #49763tonygKeymasterI think all the shows from tonight onward are full band.
July 11, 2012 at 8:17 pm #49764lkaufmanParticipantThe Birchmere in Virginia follows NYC and is a duo with Doug. I suspect NYC will be too. Hope so.

Well, I looked back at TO’s earlier posting, and he somewhat enigmatically refers to tonight’s Redding show as “duo/trio.” I have reason to believe it will be light on the percussion tonight, but as for the bass rhythm, not sure. . .
I suspect those NYC shows will in fact be duos with Doug, not 100% sure. Amy Cook is also listed as opener for that run.
July 11, 2012 at 8:30 pm #49766tonygKeymasterI prepare to stand corrected on this matter. Or sit corrected, preferably. ๐ฎ

After enjoying a couple concerts with him back this week, I am thrilled to hear he will
be around again for a while and on the album. It could just be me, but he seems to have even gotten better, or more relaxed/loose or something(??)
Truly inspired performances this week..
