I use AAC, too. For my taste / ears, I find 256 kbps files to be a good compromise between sound quality & file size. Although Lu gets “special treatment” on my iPod – I encode all her stuff in the Apple Lossless format to get the best possible sound quality despite the much bigger resulting files. She is the only artist on my iPod who gets that “honor”… 😉

March 3, 2011 at 12:04 am #43335BlueKoyoteParticipantAmazon.com mailed me today to say that my Vinyl order is delayed and wont arrive to me in Ireland until April 19th !! I pre-ordered it on Feb 8th. It’s not like I just ordered it today and they’re all gone already !! What the… ?
**Update *** Sat 5th March – Amazon emailed to say it’s been shipped !! Happy Days !

March 3, 2011 at 12:37 am #43337parkercaParticipant@tonyg I don’t buy a lot of new vinyl but when I do it is artists like Lucinda, Dylan, Wilco. If it is a new album, I buy a cd version or download from itunes. Luckily with artists like Lucinda and Wilco a cd copy comes with the lp.

I agree completely…

I got my Amazon order in the day the vinyl was listed, and always had a quoted delivery date of March 2nd. Who supplies their vinyl? Lost Highway?? Someone screwed up, I think.
March 3, 2011 at 7:15 pm #43341RainydaymanParticipantHELP!!!
I puchased the Blessed Deluxe CD March 1, and I have my proof of purchase, but I’m having trouble claiming my 4 free bonus tracks. The link on the home page of this website is not an email address. Where the heck am I supposed to email my proof of purchase? I apologize if this has already been addressed in other posts.
Thanks,
RainydaymanMarch 3, 2011 at 7:21 pm #43342West WordsParticipantRaindayman – If you click on the link, it gives you this email address to send your receipt to:
blessedpreorderdownloads@lucindawilliams.com
Hope that helps. 🙂
March 3, 2011 at 7:22 pm #43343tonygKeymasterRainy,
When I click on that click I get this:
blessedpreorderdownloads@lucindawilliams.com
I sent my receipt to that email address and I got an answer within minutes. Try pasting that address into your email “to” field and see what happens.
Good luck.

March 3, 2011 at 7:36 pm #43344RainydaymanParticipantThank you so much West Words and Tony. You guys are awesome. I guess I have some kind of firewall setting that sends me to an Outlook start up wizard when I click that link.
I’m copying and pasting as we speak.

Actually, it sounds like you have not set up Outlook (the default e-mail client) on your Windows PC. When you click on a link that is recognized as an e-mail address, Windows starts the default e-mail client to send a new e-mail to that address. If you never set up Outlook, you will see the “start-up wizard” to start you on the configuration process.
I’m guessing that instead of Outlook (or another local e-mail client application), you probably use Web-based e-mail (like Hotmail, Goggle’s G-Mail, or Yahoo Mail) exclusively on that PC, correct?

March 3, 2011 at 7:53 pm #43346RainydaymanParticipantYes, you are correct Tom. I use Gmail. “Firewall” was a poor choice of words.
I already received a reply to my email. It looks like I’ll be getting the 4 bonus tracks on March 6.
Thanks again.
March 3, 2011 at 9:14 pm #43347tonygKeymasterI think West Words and I get points for providing identical replies.
