“Buttercup” and “Sweet Love” were the two tracks played from “Blessed.”
Don’t forget to call and request! Is there an updated radio station list for us to use?
March 2, 2011 at 1:43 pm #43321Jack1956ParticipantAmazon could NOT provide the vinyl edition! I am sooo disappointed. On to the hunt….
March 2, 2011 at 7:26 pm #43322TOverbyParticipantAmazon definitely is carrying the vinyl –are they sold out?
March 2, 2011 at 7:32 pm #43323TOverbyParticipantYes -apparently they are temporarily sold out of the vinyl
March 2, 2011 at 7:55 pm #43324DavidKParticipantIf it’s any consolation, I checked with my local indie record shop (in Houston) yesterday, and they said their vinyl copies were delayed for some reason. They were expecting the shipment either this Friday or Monday and speculated maybe there was some delay getting the vinyl pressed in time. I’d like to score one of those white vinyl copies.
So I guess it might not be only Amazon, but a manufacturing problem. In any case, I got the deluxe edition from Amazon yesterday 😀
March 2, 2011 at 9:05 pm #43325parkercaParticipantMy vinyl copy (from amazon) hasn’t shipped yet, but still has an arrival date between friday and tuesday. Here’s hoping!
March 2, 2011 at 10:23 pm #43326tonygKeymasterParker what do you do for travel music when you buy vinyl? Copy it to a CD? Tape?
March 2, 2011 at 11:25 pm #43327TOverbyParticipantJust wanted to remind everyone that the Blessed vinyl includes the cd & the Kitchen Tapes.
March 2, 2011 at 11:26 pm #43328tonygKeymasterOoops. 😳
March 2, 2011 at 11:29 pm #43329tntracyParticipantAlthough there are USB turntables on the market that allow you to transfer music from vinyl to your computer. From there, of course, you can burn a CD, or transfer to an iPod or other digital music player…

March 2, 2011 at 11:34 pm #43330tonygKeymasterI recorded an album to a CD once. The hum and needle noise also came across.
March 2, 2011 at 11:40 pm #43331tntracyParticipantI’ve never tried it myself. Maybe it depends on the quality of the USB turntable? Although, without some sort of noise reduction, I imagine any “pops & clicks” from the vinyl would come through regardless of the quality of the turntable. Brand new vinyl would minimize this, of course.
I’ve thought about getting one of those USB turntables to convert some of my old vinyl (from the 70’s!), but my musical tastes have changed enough since then so I could not justify the expense. Besides, anything from back then that I had on vinyl that I still really like I’ve since purchased on CD.
For travelling music, I just love my 120 GB iPod Classic. Nothing beats having literally hundreds & hundreds of albums at your fingertips on the road…

March 2, 2011 at 11:44 pm #43332tonygKeymasterI am also using an ipod classic. I thinks it’s 160 gb. I started out using WAV files and it filled up quickly. I have since converted down to AAC.
