My husband and I are new Lucinda fans. Want to get a cd for him for christmas. What is the best CD for our first Lucinda recording?
I would go with the Live at the Fillmore set. Many great songs all in one. I am sure you will get many different opinions.

Thanks guys! I was thinking a live cd would be the best. We love live music and have seen many many shows in our 25 years of marriage. Lucinda is top of our list to see next 😀
Man, take the Lucinda williams’ are you alright. That is one of the best songs ever written and sung by her. I would love to gift that CD to my bro on his birthday. Maybe you should try that too.

buy comic books…a not so new fan of most anything. I’m 71 and bumped into Lucinda Williams’ a couple years ago on satellite OUTLAW channel. I’ve been hanging on her every song since. Must buy the cd’s you guys are suggesting. A funny – this week I heard LW’s ESSENCE and thought it was new 🙄 ❗
Today I learned its age. Holy cow.fairly new fan, been following her the last few 4 or 5 years Little Honey & Blessed then went backwards Car wheels West and so forth . I finally caught her live when she opened for John Prine (huge Fan)in Boston. Flew down to Boston from TO for the weekend. That was one awesome show they put on. Any news when she coming up to Canada would love to see her at our beloved Masey Hall. ❓ 😀
