After listening to the live albums, what songs did Lucinda bring new life to?

In my opinon “Sweet Old World” was the most interesting to listen to, but the songs I look at more favorably now are:

    Memphis Pearl
    Prove My Love
    Reason To Cry
    Price to Pay
Bus to Baton Rouge (always liked this one, her background story makes it even better now)

ParkerCA, was that the NYC or LA version?

I love “Bus to Baton Rogue”. What IS the background story behind it?

    thanks

Parker, CA have you hear NYC Sweet Old World yet to compare to LA? Just wondering before I hit the order button. I only saw self titled LW n NYC. Sweet Old World is usually my second fav anyway, so now debating whether NYC or LA version. Like the idea of new life in the old songs as I have everything except these LA/NYC cd’s and can’t see overdoing it by buying that many dups. l

Its about Lu visiting her grandmother’s house. She said as much when I saw her at Sheffield

I think they are close but the LA show wins between the “Sweet Old World” Shows. I think the “Fan Story” makes the LA show just a bit better. haha

Is it me, or are some of the live song recordings better than the originals. I’m thinking of a track like Passionate Kisses on Youtube where Lucinda does it acoustically and without the rather clunky production on the album.
Also, a song like Crescent City seems to benefit from being beefed up when played live.

hope you get the chance to see her live soon. the best artists are usually good live performers are always better live than on record, imo.
