November 13, 2020 at 3:27 am #82016LafayetteParticipantThanks for posting!
I have a ticket for Saturday’s show, Nov 14.
Looks like we may have lucked out with the weather forecast – 62 degrees at 9:00 p.m. 15% chance of rain.
November 13, 2020 at 4:01 pm #82017tonygKeymasterEnjoy!
November 13, 2020 at 8:20 pm #82019paul_from_losangelesParticipantWith reference to Lafayette’s comment about the weather, I attended the Nashville City Winery Garden for several EmmyLou Harris shows in recent weeks.
The venue is a sturdy well-built tent with a roof and side sheeting, and reasonable tables and chairs. There should be no problem from a 15% rain falling above. However, you may need a jacket for the evening temperature, and the wind blowing under the tent sheets.
Also, there is an issue that the tent is built on an asphalt parking lot. Outside rain does seep sideways under the tent, into the asphalt. Be cautious about placing valuable objects and your bare feet or socks on the asphalt, without verifying if the asphalt is wet.
There is a full food and drink menu, and covered walking to the permanent restrooms in the main building. To read and order from the menu, you do need your smartphone to process a specific QR-code located at your table, although the staff will process your verbal order, if needed.
The tables are socially distanced, and masks are required when walking thru the venue.
November 14, 2020 at 2:43 am #82020stogerParticipantDon’t forget those portable heaters mid-tent Paul, what Lu called the “firepit” night one but made no comment on the next evening as she shivered her way through a windy, sub 40 degree show. I affirm your loyalty to Emmylou, but we miss you at the Lu series. Mr. and Mrs. Backstreets from Iowa were present the first weekend, “easymike” and of course “lafayette” expected on the 14th. Tony, any post-Thanksgiving plans? The Volunteer State awaits.
November 15, 2020 at 2:53 pm #82022LafayetteParticipantThank you, Paul, for the detailed info on the City Winery set up. It was exactly as described, however, they upgraded to paper menus – which provided me with a source to note the set list.

Get Right With GodWas a bit of an up and down night starting with the relocation inside.
Several false starts as Lu struggled with the new monitor tech. She rolled with it well, but after a few of them, along with an out of tune guitar, f- bombs were dropped.Seating was nicely spaced and the room with it’s extremely high ceiling was comfortable.
Wasn’t “full”, and I witnessed several understandably declining the switch to inside.Enjoyed both shows very much, great to hang out with Roger as well as meet Lafayette and her husband. For several reasons (none I could legitimately rationalize) this trip wasn’t cancelable once I committed, and wouldn’t book if it was today or even the last couple weeks, but not regretting it (yet… I know 😉
Coming from the area of the country with the first case and outbreak, I have been extremely cautious with virus issues up until this trip. Last live show I attended was Lu’s in October and it was just so good to get a couple shows before returning to self quarantining, home schooling and isolating.
Already looking forward to post vaccine shows next year.
November 16, 2020 at 5:16 pm #82028tonygKeymasterGreat report Mike! Another monitor tech joins the club!
P.S. Blue!
November 16, 2020 at 9:22 pm #82030stogerParticipantGreat thread, but someone (backstreets? Tony G?) needs to reinstate the Nov. 1 setlist, which I think was posted by backstreets at the time. The current one starting thread is the Oct. 31 setlist–and there were only three overlaps between those two nights.
November 16, 2020 at 11:00 pm #82031tonygKeymasterIt’s in another post Mr. Stoger, titled Nashville City Winery 11/1, posted by Backstreets on 11/2. Happy Trails.
If I may be so presumptuous, I will quote it here. Tony G
