I’ve been counting down the days to this show and it is nigh.
Thanks to posters on this forum I was able to get the pre-sale password and snagged a ticket in Row E on the aisle.
I’m going stag despite my wife’s misgivings. Sorry, honey, I just need to focus on the music. I love you and all but I don’t want to miss a note. And you do like to chat.
8)June 20, 2014 at 9:55 am #53156New Jersey NickParticipantCan anyone give me a rough idea on how long the shows last? I’m debating on whether to drive or take the train. The last train home is 11:55 and I don’t want to be stranded. Thanks.
June 20, 2014 at 12:21 pm #53157DDinNJParticipantNick, From recent posts, sounds like about 2 hours or so. We may be seated near you. Will try to connect. Stoger, will you be in attendance ? I do not know the area very well. Anywhere near to get something to eat, how about parking?

I plan to be on that train,NIck. Generally, Lu has been finishing at 11 or a little longer.

I’m likely getting in right at 8 or so. Running solo, down in second row
June 20, 2014 at 7:30 pm #53160DDinNJParticipantVisions, Thank you. I think we are in Row A, Middle. Due to work needs, we may be there around 8 as well. Safe travels.
June 20, 2014 at 8:36 pm #53161New Jersey NickParticipantThanks for the feedback, everyone. I will most definitely take the train.
And I was already planning on going to the Dublin Pub. Seems like my kind of joint. The opening band looks interesting. Wanna check them out, so I’ll be there by eight.
I am pumped!
June 20, 2014 at 11:00 pm #53162New Jersey NickParticipantI am at the Dublin Pub with a nice pint of Smithwicks and a 37 second walk( stumble?) to the theater. I can’t think of a happier situation.
June 20, 2014 at 11:09 pm #53163New Jersey NickParticipantI know it’s customary to post set lists but I want to focus on the music. So I’ll do my best but all in hindsight.
June 21, 2014 at 12:36 am #53164tonygKeymasterNo pressure Nick! Enjoy! 😀

Oh I will. I’m in my seat now. So close. If anybody’s here and wants to say hi, I’m in row E, house left on the aisle. I look like the dude from the big lebowski.
June 21, 2014 at 2:08 am #53166tonygKeymasterThe dude rules! That’s a great look.
June 21, 2014 at 3:22 am #53167New Jersey NickParticipantGreat show. Hated the crowd. Lu is beautiful. Will explain further, later.

June 21, 2014 at 11:36 am #53169visionsParticipantAre you down was played before protection ( and need to flip the order of are you alright and I lost it)
Great version of are you down. David was playing these big bass rolls underneath Stuarts solos, very cool.
Big false start at beginning, issue with Lu’s IEM. Also said she ” fucked up” something in see you so bad, but I missed that. She said she would play 2 extra songs, and she said atonement was to atone for the fuck up. Little rock star was also added to the set.
Said that frissell and Greg leisz will guest on new album
I was second row dead in front of Stuart, he really is amazing. Sound of the band from where I sat was top notch, thought Lu’s vocals were just a tiny bit muddied, but that’s the trade off you get sitting second row. If I made a list of the top 10 best sounding shows I’ve heard, Lu would be all over it.
Was going to get a setlist, but unexpectly ran into some friends post show. Did get a pic of it though in the lobby, ( thx to the guy for letting me take the pic). If anyone can put it up here just IM me and I’ll email it to you
