22 Rockin in the FreeMike, embellish. Truth is, there were zero introductions–not because Lu was upset, though. Fine rowdy show. Homeward, sad to say, for me.

I liked the venue, and the drive back west wasn’t as bad as after McCartney last summer. Looking forward to the next few shows. There’s even an afternoon ballgame in Phoenix Sunday a few blocks from the venue, the Sheraton, and Alice Cooperstown.August 4, 2015 at 10:54 pm #54446stogerParticipant@Los Doyers wrote:

Do give us reports from Vegas and beyond. And I once saw the D’backs in action in conjunction with a Lu AZ concert.

The non-stop chatter and loud talk during both opening acts had Butch getting everyone’s attention when Buick 6 closed by dropping the f-bomb in nearly every sentence. “We’re also Lu’s band so get used to F’ing seeing us tonight” …” So go back there and buy our f’ing album”.. All good natured fun, but it got (most) everyones attention..
When Lucinda took the stage to sing Passionate Kisses solo she got the rest of the crowd’s attention.. and kept it. The band really sounded great and Lu’s voice was exceptional. Found myself thinking that they had never sounded better, and then thought about how many times I’ve said that… Still.. it rang true again last night with Amazing versions of Those Three Days, Unsuffer Me, Atonement, along with the whole setlist.
Also glad you were able to get to the show, Dan and more than a little jealous of your trip to the southwest.. Keep us “posted”..
Had a great time traveling between the Montana shows with stoger.. A road warrior like no other..

All the signs were there. The show sold out in a couple hours, everyone was telling us that we would love Missoula. They weren’t lying. It’s a very unique thing from night to night but sometimes you can just feel the energy the minute you walk in the venue and this was one of those nights. There was definitely electricity in the Top Hat. With all of the problems with bus etc. really starting to wear on everyone (little did we know it was about to get worse) it was perfect timing for a night like this. Simply a fantastic rowdy, vocal crowd and Lu loved every minute of it. On a song not -great versions of Those Three Days, Everything But The Truth and it was great to hear Atonement again.
Thank you Missoula for being there on night when we really needed it. We will absolutely be back.
