Seems like no one in the Friendly Forum attended to report on the Festival or add the set list to Set List FM.
This is all I could find for the record.

A mini review and the great song “Can’t Let Go” featuring Blake.

Beale Street Music Festival Day 2 Recap- Part 3
    May 01, 2011
Lucinda Williams, one of America’s most beloved folk-blues songwriters and artists, pulled into town and delivered a set that spanned her epic 32 years as a performer. Pulling a heartfelt selection from each era of her work, Lucinda’s persona as the grit-laden chanteuse whose life and work border on a golden chaos shone through in songs like “Can’t Let Go”, “Drunken Angel”, “Bleeding Fingers” and “Joy”, three of which came from her Grammy-winning 1996 album ‘Car Wheels on a Gravel Road’. In a stripped-down four piece arrangement of her band, Lucinda also treated onlookers to a preview of two songs from her new album & was even quick to compliment our fair city. Early in her set, a fan shouted out, “We love you, Lucinda!” Without batting an eye, Lucinda graciously thanked everyone in the crowd & said, “I’m so glad to be back in Memphis. Thank you for coming out and supporting live music.” -EJ Friedman

EDIT: This was a dream night that lafayette could not not make since Lu was followed on stage by Mr. John Mellencamp and lafayette was busy exploring Crescent City.

Well, a 1996 release would have been under the pre-Twang Trust, Morlix auspices–and we can each speculate whether THAT would have been “Grammy-winning.” But thanks for digging up this Tennessee tidbit, LWJ–and for not making me too guilty I was not in attendance in my native state.

Yes, indeed, a show I would have loved to have seen…it could have been two dream “pairings” in as little as three months. Thanks for digging up this info, lwj.

Great video…it kept buffering on me though. Will have to try again.

Not only was the release year of CWOAGR as stated in the article incorrect, stoger, but I think the author needs to check the release month of Blessed. A “preview [emphasis added] of two songs from her new album”? Really? 😉

According to news reports, the Mississipi is spilling over onto Beale Street. Weather related tragedies continue.

I found video evidence of “buttercup” as the lead off song for Beale Street. It sounded fantastic! I’ m unable to provide link…on my iPad as PC is in the shop.

I added the link to my original post on the review.
Great that everyone is on the ball pointing out the errors in the article.
Still can’t find a set list or other articles.

Apologies for the duplicate video link. I should have realized lwj had it covered! 😀 😆 😳

The video is a great capture of this song. As much as I love “I Just Wanted To See You So Bad,” I think “Buttercup” is a perfect opener, especially for open air venues and GA shows where the tone is higher energy.

Lucinda and her band were amazing to see live. Here is a video of “Change the Locks” from the BSMF show:

    Welcom to Lu’s forum rv360.
Great video, sure liked your intro graphics.
We are having trouble getting a full setlist for Beale St.
Any chance you can help ?

Strictly as an aside, we don’t get to hear Lu’s cover songs too often from her first record Ramblin’
This would have been fun to hear Lu do in Memphis.

    Jug Band Music

    Lucinda Williams

    When I was up
    In Memphis, Tennessee
    Jug band music
    Sounds so sweet to me
    Because it sounds so sweet
    And they’re hard to beat
    Ri-da-doo-dee, jug band music
Certainly was a treat for me

Well, I went to my man
Put my hand on his knees
And said: “If you can’t play the jug
    You can’t play with me”
    Because it sounds so sweet
    And they’re hard to beat
    Ri-da-doo-dee, jug band music
Certainly was a treat for me

And then I took off my socks
    I took off my shoes
    I danced all night
    To the jug band blues
    Because it sounds sweet
    And they’re hard to beat
    Ri-da-doo-dee, jug band music
Certainly was a treat for me

And then I went back home
    Turned on my radio
    Jug band music
    Made me stop and slow
    Because it sounds so sweet
    And they’re hard to beat
    Ri-da-doo-dee, jug band music
Certainly was a treat for me

    And it was way downtown
    In Memphis, Tennessee
    Jug band music
    Sounds so sweet to me
    Because it sounds so sweet
    And they’re hard to beat
    Ri-da-doo-dee, jug band music
    Certainly was a treat for

Thanks for checking it out. Glad you liked it. I’m sorry to say I can’t provide a complete list of her set. I was able to record a few more songs, but she played for well over an hour so there was a bunch I didn’t cover.

Thank you, TO, for filling in the blanks. I love the attention to an ever revolving setlist as Lu makes her way from town to town, state to state.
