OK -we’d be lying if we said that the travel from Sydney to Auckland to Melbourne didn’t make everyone a little fatigued. Customs and security going out and customs and security coming back will have a tendency to do that. Throw in a very hot day with the sun bearing down and it will test you. But that’s just how it sometimes is and Lu and the band rocked right thru it. We did change up the set a little a put in Ghosts with Lu solo and a stripped down Lake Charles with just Lu and Stuart and was a nice change.
The rest of the set just picked up some adrenalin and everyone found that extra gear -what else can you with such huge amazing crowds. Right?
Hot? Hot? Oh yeah, Down Under. Somehow I thought “Ghosts” was being played solo night to night anyway, but it’s even better to learn that the band is grooving on it–I’ve yet to hear that full-band version. Rock on.
