I just attempted to purchase a ticket to Meadowbrook online. I only need one ticket and it will not let be purchase just one. (I can bring up 2 tix in the 10th row.) I called the box office and was told that I in fact could NOT purchase just one ticket.
I was told to purchase one ticket I would have to call the box office when they go on sale to the general public on Friday. They do not offer one ticket via online sales. Are you kidding me?!?! I can order anywhere from 2-12 tickets via the pre-sale but not one? (I can bring up 12 seats in the 11th row.)
After Lu’s pre-sale, they have their inner circle pre-sale, then a local bank cardholders pre-sale, then a facebook app pre-sale, then a ‘Brook Beat Subscribers pre-sale…then the general public sale. 🙄
I guess I won’t be driving 2.5 hrs to see this show. Fortunately I did manage to get a 3rd row seat to the Holyoke show.
April 20, 2011 at 12:16 am #46819tonygKeymasterI just got tickets in the 4th row!
April 20, 2011 at 1:49 pm #46820TimParticipantI got tickets in the 4th row too! Thanks tonyg! It will be another fun night.
Haunted, I think that is ridiculous that you can’t buy a single seat! Enjoy the show in Holyoke; I’ll be there too.April 21, 2011 at 5:30 pm #46821wtwn81ParticipantHaunted, try the Friday on-sale … there’s got to be great singles if no one else can buy them yet either.
April 22, 2011 at 8:01 pm #46822TOverbyParticipantHaunted -I didn’t know of that ticket policy -let me know if you get a ticket -if not we can figure something out
July 11, 2011 at 4:33 pm #46823wtwn81ParticipantI have 4 extras sec C up front on the center aisle. Please PM if interested.
July 12, 2011 at 4:10 pm #46824tonygKeymaster4 extras! Yikes. Maybe haunted needs one of them.
I’m going to the show and have tickets. If I need any extra I will let you know.
July 15, 2011 at 2:13 am #46825hauntedParticipantThanks for thinking of me. I never did get a ticket to this show. The money I would have spent on a NH ticket I decided to spend on a ticket to the Greenfield Festival with Emmylou Harris and Wanda Jackson. Figured I still get to see some amazing artists.
I will be attending the show the day before NH in Holyoke. So I am not totally missing out on Lucinda’s tour. 😀

How was Emmylou? Setlist? or at least highlights/encore
I was there but had family obligations so had to leave during Wanda Jackson.Patty Larkin was amazing- worth the price of a 2 day ticket just for her act.
Anyone want to do a pre Holyoke meet- up?

July 25, 2011 at 1:51 pm #46829tonygKeymasterI am vacationing in Maine (insert Maine joke here) so I was able to attend the show after a 90 minute drive. After a couple days of miserable heat and humidity, we had a nice evening outdoors. I arrived at 7:05 and met Tim, his friend Donna, and Tim’s mother, who is a big LW fan. Amos Lee came on at 8:05. I had never seen nor heard him before. He was awesome. Blew me away. Great songs, voice, and band. Very appreciative of the big crowd that came out early to see him. Lucinda joined him for a song. He played until 9:15.
Lu came out at 9:35. She looked fantastic and was in great spirits. Her voice was perfect. This was my first Lu show since Bardot on 2/14 in Hollywood. Blake brought a different thing to the band. Amos joined Lu for Little Angel Little Brother. It was his last night on the tour.
I have been listening to Blessed a lot on my trip and she played some songs from it, but not the songs I wanted to hear that have appeared on other set lists. I was hoping for Copenhagen and I don’t Know How You’re Livin. No dice. The show was over at 10:58 after only 15 songs.
I brought my 2 college age nephews with me so I wouldn’t have to make the drive by myself. They enjoyed both artists. We listened to the Berlin show from 2003 on the way home since I had not gotten my fill after the short show.
All told a good evening on a pleasant night in New Hampshire.

Sadly, both my wife and I felt that on this night Lucinda mailed it in. We have seen her many times at various sized venues around the country, and always admired the fire and passion she brought to her live shows. For us, it wasn’t there last night. I had not seen her work with this band before and that may have been part of the problem as the musicianship of previous band members, Doug Pettibone and Donald Lindley was clearly missing with this current lineup. Most in attendance seemed to enjoy the show, which was short and in places hurried. We’ll hope for a better effort the next time we see her.
July 25, 2011 at 6:38 pm #46831stogerParticipantThanks for the reports. Good to see “People Talkin'” back in the list, and I believe “Little Rock Star” marks Blake’s sophomore [though not sophomoric, I bet] effort–perhaps his maiden one there. Tony, glad you survived the bears and bugs and such in the far northeast. You did see Blake with Val and others at Bardot, no? NIce mention of the Tim contingent, back in full force from my Portsmouth sighting earlier in the year, it would seem. Fair amount of the Viper Room brigade present here too. . .
I too liked Amos Lee, but does the “An Evening With. . .” billing portend two distinct Lu sets in Richmond? Hmh. . .
May see you in Orange County, Tony, unless your vacation extends summerlong.
July 25, 2011 at 6:46 pm #46832tonygKeymasterI don’t have tickets yet to Orange County yet, Stoger. I’ll check it out when I get home.
I did see Blake at Bardot but he only played 3 songs I think.
Tim and his group were also at the Holyoke show Saturday. I was enroute and could not attend but I heard it was brutally hot and humid.
