Malibu Show

Howdy,
Did anyone see the Malibu show several months back? I though the band was wonderful, and Lucinda had some moments, but she seemed distanced from us (audience), and also read ALL her lyrics. I was kinda bummed because I listened to the live cd on the way there, and she almost performed the whole thing, and I was thinking I could have just listened to it instead.
I think the whole difference however, was Doug. I was totally amazed at how he embraced her songs, and rocked me with his guitars.
By the way…can anybody tell me who the opening lady was? She was from Australia, and really rocked the house with her singing, and especially the elecric guitar, and slide playing on the finale.
Also, she kept making REAL eye contact with me and the audience, which Lucinda seemed to be avoiding. Too bad because it was a small venue.
