Sorry if this is old news, but this was recently posted on the Ray Davies website: “Ray recently flew out to the States and recorded the Kinks “Better Things” with Bruce Springsteen and “Celluloid Heroes” with Bon Jovi for his new collaborations album. Last year Ray recorded tracks with Alex Chilton (Big Star) and Lucinda Williams at Konk and will be finishing these off in the coming months.”
Intriguing news, indeed, especially for someone (like myself) who has been compiling all of Lu’s duets, covers, etc. that have been released on other artists’ albums or on compilations. Thanks for the heads up, sirdoug.
The question that begs to be asked is what song(s) did Lu & Mr. Davies record together? TomO, can you shed any light on this? ❓
