I thought Paul from Los Angeles would mention this because I saw him there (but didn’t get a chance to say hello) but since he didn’t I thought I would. Lucinda got up an sang with the band Jack Shit during their show last Thurs at the Echo club in Echo Park. Jack Shit features Val McCallum who will be the guitar player in Lu’s band for the August shows. In addition to Val the band is made up of Pete Thomas the drummer from Elvis Costello’s Attractions, and Davy Faragher on bass -Davy has played also played with Elvis among others and played with John Hiatt for many years. Lucinda did energetic versions Still I Long For Your Kiss, I Lost It and Happy Woman Blues, and then after some additional persuasion from the band she stayed on and did Joy. I think a good time was had by all.

From all the reports of the mini tour, it’s no wonder Lu’s choice for new band member Val ( aka Beau Shit )
was exceptional.
