This was a public radio broadcast and it is awesome. Looking forward to our new 3 disc UPDATE.

It is indeed “awesome.” It is one of my favorite live boots that I have. I recommend it highly to anyone who has not heard it before.

OK tnt.
I posted a picture of someone’s music collection in their office on another thread recently and you said yours was not nearly that big. I question that.
“Sundays” was my favorite on this Dutch recording.( quite high quality too )

Ha Ha!! 😆
There’s a funny story about this Eindhoven concert I have to tell on TOverby. After a show one night (it might have been the one in Birmingham, AL almost exactly one year ago), Tom was telling stoger & me about how excited he was to have found a recording of this concert in Lu’s personal archives, and how he was planning on including it in a “deluxe edition” re-release of the self-titled album. I kind of hated to do it, but I had to tell him that it wasn’t that “rare”, in that I had a boot of it that I had acquired from someone on the Lu Yahoo group! 😈 😆
Nonetheless, it is very, VERY cool that you found this, LWJ. IMHO, it is undoubtedly the source of the boot of which I have a copy, and that would explain the relative high-quality of the recording compared to most other live boots (that are usually audience recorded)…

Yeah, but you seem to have more patience with digging through Google results that I do… 😉

Actually, I fibbed.
I really found the answer on page 320.
Now, this is turning out like the fun Lafayette, tonyg and I had last Friday night when we were ‘patiently” waiting to catch a glimpse of Lucinda for the Musicares tribute to NEIL.
OK, Lafayette ( if you are not painting ) and tonyg ( if you are not at a concert with Bubbles )-let’s see some interaction on a lazy Tuesday night.lwj

BTW, I am not parting with my signed copy (vinyl, of course) that I’ve had since it’s original release. And since we are on the topic of vinyl, why can’t we have “SOW'” and “Essence” on LP?
January 11, 2012 at 4:06 pm #40184LWjettaParticipantAny upate to report Tom O on the much anticipated 3 disc set?
Does the expiry of the Lost Highway contract threaten the release, in particular, the DVD of live shows in 2007 from the El Rey?Thanks.

January 13, 2012 at 8:37 pm #40185TOverbyParticipantThe plan is for the Rough Trade record to be the first release of the new record deal. As soon as we make that decision the RT record will not be far behind.
January 13, 2012 at 8:42 pm #40186TOverbyParticipantTo answer your question in full -no, the LH expiration will not affect the RT release as Lucinda owns that record outright. It may make doing the live dvd part a little more complicated (expensive) because if we end up not re-upping with LH or at a non-Universal label we will have to license it from them.
