Queen Lu joined Jesse Malin for a few song at his recent album anniversary show on Saturday!
The setlist w/Lu:
1- Room 13 (A Jesse Malin original featuring Lu)
2- Jukebox (I have not confirmed this, but I believe this is another new Lu original co-written w/Jesse.)
3- You Can’t Put Your Arms Around a Memory (Johnny Thunders Cover)Dang sean, wish I knew you were going to be there. Setlist is solid of course, and you are right on point 2; we can add that to the anticipatory new album list. I forgot if Lu co-wrote “Room 13” with Jesse, for she sings on a couple from Sunset Kids different from the ones she co-wrote. At any rate, great night, augmented by Aaron Lee Tasjan doing a Malin song, and a fine opening set from the Fantastic Cats. I met these four pussies (but not folk pussies) afterwards, springing for their album. A NYC supergroup I believe, four guys who front four different local bands.
Good to know! I really liked the sounds of it by what I heard…
And, I wasn’t there, just from what I saw on Facebook… haha!
