hate to be a wet blanket, but what did M Ward do that Neil Young didn’t do 40 years ago… except get Lucinda to sing with him ? (which is nice)
having said that, i like M., (what little of his i’ve heard) but this track is not anything earthshaking, imo.
kinda sounds like he’s been listening to that Hank Williams tribute cd from a few years back…Well done, young Grasshoppers. Well done, indeed. Yes, bombastic is a word that is powerful and you are wise to capture its essence and presence. Now, use the force, young Luke, and look around you. All things are not as they sound. As once was spoken, be careful when one’s BS-meter goes awry. Bee especially careful for all things that look sweet are not honey-sweet. Be(e) cautious of the man who protest to much… (notice no smiley-faces inserted here)
