…according to this blog.

July 31, 2010 at 4:30 pm #43957tntracyParticipant…but, no link to the actual interview as far as I can tell. I assume it hasn’t been released yet as that blog entry is dated yesterday.
New contest: who can be the first to find & post a link to the interview itself first? 馃槇

Just a wild guess here tntracy that we may ? hear the full interview tonight from Seattle.
Hannah Levin did the interview with Lu as you can see from her short blog.
She hosts a weekly Saturday night program on public radio KEXP-FM called “Audioasis”
It runs from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. PT or 9-12 p.m. EDTAudioasis (Variety)
路 Visit the show website
路 Next available on KEXP-FM 90.3
路 in 4 hours 24 minutes
路 Host: Hannah Levin
路 This year KEXP鈥檚 longest running local music show is out in the community more than ever. Every month Audioasis will broadcast live from The Sunset Tavern in Ballard. Every month net proceeds will benefit a different local charity.
Here is the on line listening link. I listened to the station (Indie) for a while this afternoon.

For sure I’ll check it out tonight.

p.s.1. If I guessed right do I win anything? Say Lu’s 3 disc box set due to be issued in August? as per TO.
p.s. 2. Don’t go Christmas shopping tonight tntracy.July 31, 2010 at 10:55 pm #43959TOverbyParticipantThe interview was done yesterday afternoon for the print version of the Seattle Weekly in advance of the show Lucinda is doing up there. It was interesting to see how quickly a mention of the interview was put up by the writer, given that she had just done it a couple hours earlier, but it sounds like she enjoyed it as much as Lucinda did. I’m not sure exactly when it will run, but an educated guess would be next week’s issue.
August 1, 2010 at 12:55 am #43960LafayetteParticipantI’m looking forward to the write up. I would love to hear what prompted Lu to break into song IF that’s not covered in the write up.
August 1, 2010 at 1:52 am #43961punchdrunkloveParticipant(…) to the inherent value of changing the locks both metaphorically and literally when one is trying to survive a break-up. The woman even spontaneously sang part of the Who’s “I Can See For Miles” to me over the phone.
i bet “change the locks” is the link. the lyrics for “i can see for miles” are similar in spirit.

So much for my “wild guess” , I didn’t read TO’s educated guess until yesterday and listened to the author’s show on KEXP for quite a while. A great selection of Indie music to enjoy.
Gotta love those PBS stations.
Just edited my post to include the following recent article from Seattle Weekly.
Basically NPR Radio sells records. It’s a very good read.

I found a clue on Lu’s FB page, punch, in regards to the link for Lu breaking into a (“Who”) song during her interview. I had missed her reply and went in search of after TO posted Lu had written some “Blessed” lyrics.
“We were blessed by the homeless man who showed us the way home.” “We were blessed by the blind man who could “We were blessed by the homeless man who showed us the way home.” “We were blessed by the blind man who could see for miles and miles.

there you go. 馃檪
those “blessed” verses remind me of “sidewalks of the city”.
