From Lu’s Facebook page:
Lucinda Williams is featured on 2 tracks on Steve Cropper’s upcoming release, “Dedicated” coming out on 8/9/11. She performs with Steve on both Track #4 (Dedicated to the One I Love) and Track #15 (When I Get Like This). Check it out here!
Another two songs for the “Guest Appearances” list… đ
Also singing duets on the album with Mr. Cropper are Steve Winwood, B.B. King, Bettye Lavette & Brian May. Ought to a good ‘un…

P.S. Scroll down at the above Amazon.com link & there are song samples for each song on the album to check out. Lu is featured prominently on each 30 second preview of her two songs…

I appreciate the info, and if I had it before I pre-ordered the album, likely would have done the same…
Am I ever glad I didn’t.
The whole album is such a good time…August 18, 2011 at 6:02 pm #46937tntracyParticipant@SamishSeaMike wrote:

The whole album is such a good time…Yeah, the more I read about the album as a whole, the more I want it. I might just have to buy the CD, my previous $1.98 investment notwithstanding… đ

http://www.popmatters.com/pm/review/148197-steve-cropper-dedicated/
In a series of stellar vocal performances, Lucinda Williams makes the biggest impression. Her rough voice contrasts with the â5â Royalesâ harmonies. The performance carries emotional weight without any overreaching. It doesnât hurt that sheâs joined by Dann Penn and gets background vocals from Dylan Leblanc, Lee Roy Parnell, and Kebâ Moâ. The strong showing on the marquee track makes it appropriate that she returns for the closing number, âWhen I Get Like Thisâ. Williamsâs style stays different from the Royalesâ, yet itâs a perfect blend with the R&B band backing her.
