Participant“A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall” is available for a free download on Tom Russell’s website ! Lots of great reviews on “Mesabi” posted on his website.
Riveting song but was there any doubt? Big shout out to twitter. Found this doing a Lu search.

Thanks Lafayette.
What a gem of a song, a full 9 minutes.
Crank up the volume on this one.
Love the duet segment near the end.lwj

Well, not to look the proverbial gift horse in the mouth, but the free download is only 128 Kbps. So, I’ll end up buying a higher-resolution copy when it is released, if not the CD itself…
Tom
P.S. I am moving this to “Lucinda Records”…

I am not a techie. I am so old school, I prefer hard copies over digital and understand very little about download rates and such.
Sooooo….chalk me up in the curmudgeon+ista column as it applies to downloads.

Participant128 Kbps is a relatively low bit rate (iTunes & Amazon both sell 256 Kbps as their minimum). Lower bit rate = lower quality sound (similar to a lower resolution photo doesn’t look as good). I would equate 128 Kbps with FM radio, if that…
