There are more coming -a couple more being recorded next week and one was recorded in Dec. The song on the Michael Monroe record is called “Gone Baby Gone” and the Susan Cowsill record is actually from 2005.

This was discussed in the forum last year, not sure if you have added it to your spreadsheet yet tntracy.
Record has been mixed, issue later in the year as per Colin Linden.
Two quotes follow:
In the past couple of weeks Lu has been busy -I guess we just can’t give her a break
She did a wonderful duet with the legendary Jimmy Webb on his song Galveston. He is finishing up an album of duets. We just got the finished version and Jimmy was so thrilled with it he is saying it may be the single.
A few days after that she also sang harmony on a song for Blackie & The Rodeo Kings, which is her longtime friend Colin Linden’s side band.Above quote from Tom O Dec. 15, 2009

This year will also bring the release of a new Blackie and the Rodeo Kings album, Kings and Queens, which will feature 14 different female artists, including Roseanne Cash, Emmylou Harris, Serena Ryder and Lucinda Williams.
The trio of Linden, Stephen Fearing and Tom Wilson formed in 1996 for what was supposed to be a one-off tribute album to Canadian songwriter Willie P. Bennett. The Juno Award-winning group has since released six albums.
The idea for the new album was hatched while the Kings were touring.
“Pam Tillis was one of the driving forces behind getting this record going. We got a lot of support from them (the female singers) but Pam and Roseanne (Cash) were the most vocal,” Linden said, adding things started to get moving in November 2009.
“That’s when it looked like it was going to be real. It was a complex project to put together on so many levels. It’s blessed that it has happened. It’s nothing short of that.”
The Kings will be out later this year to support that album and some of the women who appear on the disc will be joining them on stage in various places.I just missed seeing Colin last week at the local university.

BLACKIE AND THE RODEO KINGS’ LONG AWAITED ALBUM KINGS AND QUEENS DUE JUNE 14 ON FU:M/DRAMATICO
Acclaimed Canadian supergroup Blackie and the Rodeo Kings—Colin Linden, Stephen Fearing, and Tom Wilson—will release the long awaited album Kings And Queens June 14 in the U.S. on File Under: Music/Dramatico/Universal. Three years in the making, Kings & Queens pairs the band with legendary and iconic female artists, including Rosanne Cash, Exene Cervenka, Holy Cole, Emmylou Harris, Amy Helm, Janiva Magness, Mary Margaret O’Hara, Sam Phillips Serena Ryder, Pam Tillis, Sara Watkins, Lucinda Williams, Cassandra Wilson, and Patti Scialfa.
Produced by Grammy-and Juno-winning producer Colin Linden (Bruce Cockburn, Lucinda Williams, Colin James), the album was recorded in various cities from Nashville to Toronto to New York City to New Orleans, Los Angeles, and Woodstock. “No destination was too far for love,” says Stephen Fearing. “Colin flew around North America with hard drives and files on his computer, and when we had an artist agree to be involved like Lucinda Williams, he flew to L.A. and recorded in the studio in L.A. with her.”
The concept for Kings And Queens was a random idea that came out of a late-night conversation in the van about “various artists we’ve all had the privilege of working with,” says Colin Linden. “We began with a page torn out of a notebook and a lot of ‘hey, what about’ and ‘wouldn’t it be great to work with” interjections.” Some three years later, they transformed that wish list into Kings And Queens.
The Songs (& The Queens):
1. If I Can’t Have You – Lucinda Williams
2. Another Free Woman – Sara Watkins
3. Got You Covered – Rosanne Cash
4. I’m Still Loving You – Amy Helm
5. Golden Sorrows – Cassandra Wilson
6. Shelter Me Lord – Patti Scialfa
7. My Town Has Moved Away – Pam Tillis
8. How Come you Treat Me So Bad – Janiva Magness
9. Step Away – Emmylou Harris
10. Heart O’ Mine – Mary Margaret O’Hara
11. Brave – Holly Cole
12. Made Of Love – Exene Cervenka
13. Love Lay Me Down – Sam Phillips
14. Black Sheep – Serena Ryder[attachment=0:2jwje38h]blackie_KQs_cover-300×272.jpg[/attachment:2jwje38h]
