As you may recall, Lucinda invited C.C. Adcock to appear in two shows last year in Lafayette, LA and New Orleans.
The band is releasing in Australia their new tribute album to Fats Domino next month.

Australia, eh? Well, I hope they offer sales in the U.S. (& Canada!) of individual songs via digital download so I don’t have to spend the proverbial “arm & a leg” to get a copy of the physical CD shipped to me from “Down Under”… 😐

Gosh, Tom O, I’ll let you in on my “secret” search technique for Lu’s breaking news.
I took my HP laptop to my local computer techie shop and they programmed one of the function keys as a hot key to bring in all the Lucinda goodies. 😆For example, just this morning it told me I should take the 5 hour drive to the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY on August 17th to catch Lu with John Prine.

Robert Plant and Lucinda Williams Sing For Lil Band O Gold
05.23.2012Lil Band O’ Gold’s next album ‘Plays Fats’ has a crack line-up of guests including Robert Plant and Lucinda Williams as well as Australia’s Jimmy Barnes and Tim Rogers.
Plant first teamed up with the Louisiana supergroup for their Promised Land DVD and performed some of his Led Zep classics Cajun style with Lil Band O Gold. On this Fats Domino tribute Plant will sing lead vocal n ‘It Keeps Raining’ and ‘I’ve Been Around’.
Lucinda Williams pops up with Ani DiFranco and Kenny Bill Stinson in ‘I’m Ready’ while Australia’s Jimmy Barnes takes lead for ‘Ain’t That A Shame’ and Tim Rogers sings ‘I’m Walking’.
‘Lil Band O’ Gold Plays Fats’ will be released by Dust Devil Music via EMI on June 8, 2012.

Well, according to Amazon.com, this will be released on June 19th. And, at least at this point, it looks like my fears are realized – the only option is to purchase the import CD for $44.17… 😛

P.S. Yup – found this iTunes preview, but when I followed the links and attempted to purchase the download, I was notified it is only available in the Australian iTunes Store… 👿
At least I am able to listen to a 90 second preview while in the Australian iTunes store… 😐
