Such an incredible lineup. I wish I could tag along!
I watched the awards show, last night, all 3 1/2+ hours, via an NPR live stream, walking around the kitchen with my ipad and earphones while making dinner, cleaning up the mess, and various additional domestic chores. 😀
Incredible show, one amazing artist after another.
Lu didn’t make an appearance until the later in the evening. She accepted the President’s Award, honoring Woody Guthrie, on behalf and request of Norah Guthrie, who could not attend.
She performed an incredibly beautiful rendition of “Dust’ with Stuart Mathis and the house band, prior to announcing Artist of the Year.

all agreed, Lafayette, from my perch atop balcony Row M (not a bad seat in house). But Billy Bragg’s rendition of “Ain’t Got No Home…” was a bit underwhelming, I feel.
