    World Without Tears
People Talkin’ (responding to “Happy Birthday” from crowd, Lu notes that there are “two Aquariuses up here”]
Metal Firecracker [elaborate intro about the “road romance” which inspired this one]
    Greenville
When I Look at the World [Lu opines that students might like this one, also that tonight’s venue is an “interesting one” because it is a K-12 school theatre–true enough, as I myself met the headmaster after the show]
    Copenhagen
Car Wheels on a Gravel Road
    Bitter Memory
    REason to Cry
    Over Time
Apartment # 9 [with much praise of Tammy W]
    Jailhouse Tears
    Something Wicked…
    Pineola
    Drunken Angel
Down the Big Road Blues {Lu brings out the new birthday guitar, and all is well with it]
    Changed the locks
Joy [with mention of Tom Overby having been invited to a private screening of the documentary WEst of Memphis]
    ___________________________________
    This Old Guitar
Jambalaya [Lu debates whether Lillie Mae Rische’s instrument is better called a violin or fiddle, opts for the latter]
Get Right with God [with the KB Babnd]

Lucinda used the phrase “clobberheaded nincopoomps” at some forgotten point in set, one borrowed from her dad.

I’m finally able to add a little additional color commentary to stoger’s rockin’ road report.

I was wondering how this show would pan out with it being held at a K – 12 independent school campus. Surprisingly, very nice, including the bar set up in the lobby with a few complimentary snacks on the table. I had a drink waiting for stoger as he came thru the door to atone for not properly notifying him on our meeting place. I forgot to hit ‘send.’ WHOOPS. In the end, all was well.

According to my notes, (I used my iphone, after checking with my neighbor), another “Happy Birthday” shout out after “World Without Tears” prompted a “This is going to be a fun night” comment from Lu. I knew the mojo was going to be good with said observation.

As stoger noted, Metal Firecracker had an elaborate intro, and I really liked this comment [generated lighthearted laughter] : “After we got off the Metal Firecracker, everything fizzled, but I got a great song out of it.”

Over Time was introduced with Lu noting she was honored and proud Willie Nelson recorded a version of it.

Apartment No 9 praise included insight that particular album the song was recorded was one in the rotation while she was growing up.

In my notes I wrote “No good count clobber headed nincompoop” as part of the “Jailhouse Tears” intro. 😆

After Changed The Locks, Lu notes the crowd is great, and “It never hurts to have a little Jack Daniels in the house.”

On “Jambalaya” Lu talked of honoring Hank Williams on this tour by trying to cover one of his songs at each of her shows, to honor Hank after his passing 60 years ago. She goes on to say he passed away on Jan 1, 1953 and she was born on Jan 26, 1953 with an added “And now you know how old I am and I don’t give a damn!”

Oh, and I don’t know how I forgot this until I read following review – Lu throwing down the moves on Get Right With God. She was cutting a rug like I have never seen before. It was, well, you just had to have been there…
