Hey, maybe Lucinda wants to pitch in tonight — she could sign the disks she packs up!
should have picked up the NY cds at the last NYC show, but the line was long…. and I needed to re-live the show over a beer. I know my shortsightedness will be worth the wait.:)
Worth the wait? What can I say … The package just arrived, and the self-titled album — my favorite album, and the only night I got to see in NY — is signed by Lucinda! Chance? Serendipity? I am thrilled… and touched.
Thank you Inside Job. Thank you Lucinda! 😀 😀 😀
to alter a lyric…. “None of my love has been taken for granted….”
October 22, 2007 at 6:57 pm #34027lennybruceParticipant1st time poster,long time fan.
Im thrilled she signed some of the cdrs. They sound great.Im slightly dissapointed they are cdrs and not silver discs. Other than that, the volume levels are way too low. I really have to turn my stereo up.
Ive got a lot to listen to for the next few weeks.
Thanks for making it possible.

thats cool.just that silvers supposidely last longer than cdrs. I should have assumed what they were, considering they were for sale right after the show. next time out, please just pump up the volume a bit
thanks again.

October 22, 2007 at 9:50 pm #34032RayParticipantI’m sure some people involved in this “experiment” of on-demand concert CDs may feel like they opened a big can of worms at times (I’m sure they’ve asked: is it worth it?), so I’d just like to say thanks again to IJ and others involved for making this happen. It’s worth it! 😀 Being able to get live recordings of these concerts — legitimately — is very cool. I sincerely appreciate it — and I hope you can expand it to more shows in the future.
We can all find flaws and make suggestions, but it’s probably a good idea to keep in mind the original concept of these recordings. Which was, as I got it, kind of like an “official” bootleg recording of the concert. The CD was created, under serious time constraints, the night of the concert. And it was offered to the audience that very night, almost as a souvenir of that show. It was only after a lot of demand here on the website that it was even made available by mail. But it is still the same CD you would have picked up right after the concert — not something intended to be a slick, commercial release, in a boxed set, and not remastered in a studio. I like that it’s “live and in the moment” — as someone here said about a Lucinda performance. I love the LA recordings — and I can’t wait to start listening to the NYC CDs. In my mind, these recordings have a lot of qualities that are better than studio albums. I got my money’s worth, and more. And am grateful. So, thanks y’all.

October 23, 2007 at 4:18 pm #34034msewellParticipantJust received the box sets of live CDs and wanted to add my thanks. The autographs were a nice surprise! Awesome experiment; keep them coming!
October 23, 2007 at 5:33 pm #34035bike50nowParticipantMy 10 CDs arrived on October 22, 2007. What a wonderful touch to have two of them signed by Lucinda! It makes them even more special and personal. Now I need a road trip to listen to these landmark recordings. I, like many people, like listening to CDs in the car…it’s a concentrated and focused space to enjoy great music. Nevertheless, my plan is to listen to them in order to enjoy the progression and growth of the idea.
This was a great concept and idea to not only do the 5 shows on both coasts but to offer these CDs to record the many great moments. I caught the tour between the two 5 night shows at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA on September 26 and witnessed a great show. Thanks to everyone involved! 😀
GeorgeOctober 23, 2007 at 6:22 pm #34036martayParticipantI just got the 5 CD set from L.A. and am LOVING it!
However, I’m a bit of nutcase when it comes to song titles and credits.
Is there somewhere on this site where all the song titles and guest appearances are documented in excruciating detail, the way I like it?For example:
While I’m obviously hearing Steve Earle on “Car Wheels”,
I’m not 100% sure which songs he’s on and what instrument he’s playing and so forth. Same goes for Jim Lauderdale, Mike Campbell, etc. etc.Is there (or will there be) a full accounting of all such details for all the CDs? Something perhaps we can download and tuck away with the CDs themselves?
I know that fulfilling all the orders must be a gargantuan task.
My undying thanks to all concerned for their hard work in that regard.
And my sincere thanks to Lucinda for personally signing the CDs!!
Wow!I realize it would require yet another huge effort to sort out all the song-by-song minutae but I think it might add greatly to the listener’s enjoyment if “who’s-playing-and-singing-what-and-when” could be readily identified.
Any such help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!October 23, 2007 at 9:27 pm #34037RhonParticipantHopefully, details of the performances will be included in the booklet that comes with the DVD next year….
Two road trips this week; can’t wait. Listened to Essence NY last night. Played it first because I’ve never heard Steal Your Love live before. Wow. Wonderfull! Sound was beautiful throughout. Can’t wait to hear the rest of them. Great work Mark & all!!!!!
October 24, 2007 at 11:17 am #34038KaesParticipantHey Inside Job. Got my cd’s – thank you, and a big thank you to Lucinda, too. The shows are great and I’m blown away she signed both copies of the self-titled album shows!!! What a great way to treat her fans. What a great way to show the measure of her talent. They were well worth the wait. I have a lot of listening to do over the next couple days.
Thanks, again.

BuffaloOctober 24, 2007 at 7:43 pm #34039zlh67Participanthmmm, so how long is it taking for everyone to get these cd’s? I ordered mine on 10/9 and was thinking even with a week to process and a week in the mail I’d have it around now, but the website still says “processing”, which I assume means it hasn’t even shipped yet.
😥
October 24, 2007 at 7:45 pm #34040zlh67ParticipantOh, and I see reference to a DVD next year? Can someone provide the scoop on that? Are there going to be any dvd’s of these performances?
