Come to Me BabyJanuary 14, 2010 at 9:26 pm #41974tonygKeymasterAnother good find Lafayette. 😀
January 14, 2010 at 11:59 pm #41975tntracyParticipantIndeed – thanks once again, Lafayette! While I haven’t seen any way to directly download the concert audio stream (right-clicking on the “Lucinda Williams In Concert” link on my Mac doesn’t give me the expected “Save as…” option), I can still capture the audio as it plays which is what I plan on doing tonight… 😉

January 15, 2010 at 1:11 am #41976tonygKeymasterSame here on a PC, Tom, no save option. Listening now.
The Love Band returns, at least for one night. 😀
January 15, 2010 at 1:36 am #41977LafayetteParticipantHow do you like the color commentary with the announcer? 😆
January 15, 2010 at 1:38 am #41978tonygKeymasterI haven’t heard him since the intro. Does he return? Playing Jailhouse Tears right now.
January 15, 2010 at 1:43 am #41979LafayetteParticipantI only had the time to FF through the show, I plan on listening tonight as well, later, after everyone goes to bed.
There is a lull with band stuff going on, indecision, switching instruments , whatever, and there is complete silence, so the commentator starts talking as if it’s a golf tournament…something Like “O.K. Lucinda is strapping on her guitar…” You have to hear it to appreciate what i found as humorous.
January 15, 2010 at 1:51 am #41980tonygKeymasterThx can’t wait. She is doing Knowing now, the name of her next record, so she says.

Oh great – that’ll ruin it for me. I can’t stand that kind of stuff. I could edit it out, but that’ll ruin the continuity of the recording (I like gapless live recordings, w/o breaks in even the crowd noise).
Oh well. As I’ve said before, beggars can’t be choosers! 😐

Who is Flappy?
January 15, 2010 at 3:12 am #41984tonygKeymasterFlappy was her production manager. He was the guy who came onstage to hand LW her guitar between songs. She always introduced him.
January 15, 2010 at 3:56 am #41985tonygKeymasterTremendous versions of Lake Charles and Blue.

Well that’s consolation for the “announcer” – two of my favorites…
