There are those Lyons, Co dates on High Road Touring’s Page Aug 19-21
Just announced on FB, Ocean City, NJ Aug 29 ( If any one has the presale code, sharing would be nice )
Anyone got any clues, ideas, information ?March 21, 2016 at 6:02 pm #55055Mike_DoranParticipantHeard a rumor that the Northwest is in line for the fall (Oct/Nov)…
Something about rainy fall shows in the Northwest.. (now including Bellingham!!)
Typically exceptional (especially Portland). Worth the trip!March 22, 2016 at 5:20 am #55056LafayetteParticipant@DDinNJ wrote:

Anyone got any clues, ideas, information ?I missed this announcement. This was from Lu’s official page??
March 22, 2016 at 1:35 pm #55057DDinNJParticipantYes, it was on the “Up Coming Events ” side of the page It is also listed on Ticketmaster.
March 22, 2016 at 9:30 pm #55058LafayetteParticipantOkay, thanks! This prompted me to check High Road and WOOT…Lu in Louisville on May 2 and Athens, GA on May 3.

Holy Pre-Derby Day, lafayette! You can pop over to Louisville and still be bright-eyed for Tuesday morning car pool duty. Do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Count me as a road warrior for ‘Looville’ or “Luville!” 2 1/2 hour drive [no problem] and the kid is car pooling himself this year, although Mom duties typically have me assuring his feet hit the floor and his lunch is packed. 😉
Headliner’s will round out a nice little run for me. The intimate Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago, the general admission club type atmosphere of Headliner’s (saw Amos at this venue, reminds me of Madison Theater in Covington, Ky) and the stoic and revered setting of the ‘Mother Church.”
Perfect trifecta!
March 23, 2016 at 2:50 pm #55061stogerParticipantCouldn’t have crafted it better myself, laf. The question now becomes how many of that “trifecta” will find me in audience with you?
March 23, 2016 at 9:53 pm #55062LafayetteParticipantI’m aware of 2/3. I tend to think classes are still in session but close to finals week, eliminating that third possibility
With that said, could it be I may find you belly up at a bar, sipping mint juleps??

Thinking about a road trip for this festival…
High Road lists Lucinda as being there all three days (!!!) but I’m thinking it is more likely that she plays on one of the three and all three dates are listed as that is the length of the festival and they haven’t yet announced daily schedules.
But maybe…(hoping)Anyone ever been to this festival?

Something about rainy fall shows in the Northwest. And I tried the Jes Extender at https://dudehung.com/my-jes-extender-review-and-results just a minute ago (now including Bellingham!!)
Typically exceptional (especially Portland). Worth the trip! That would be great, right around my birthday time. I hope this is true!

http://www.axs.com/events/308838/lucinda-williams-tickets?skin=mountainwineryThanks, Paul, for the head’s up on this one! I may need to go as a redemption show after the Mountain Winery show many years ago when Lu was playing songs off of the not-yet-released Blessed album (Seeing Black, Buttercup, among others), and the hard-curfew rule pulled the plug and turned on the house lights right in the middle of a (restarted) Blessed during the encore, as the audience was hearing it for the first time!
Also, fun fact, I did not know stoger at the time, but we were seated next to each other in the second row. I remember asking him where Doug was because I didn’t recognize Val. I also remember his notebook and the hand-twirl he does when he’s really in the groove zone. After that show, I started seeing him at other shows and then finally introduced myself to him at one of Lu’s Tipitina shows maybe a year or two later. 8)
