ParticipantI knew you were not Burning any Bridges, Mike, just inf0-sharing. I have a few of Morlix’s records and like his stuff. But no, no CA jaunt this time for this Tennessee boy, alas.

ParticipantThe detailed schedule for Hardly Strictly now appears at http://www.hardlystrictlybluegrass.com/2017/.
For those who seek the company of 250,000 persons to view a music experience on 7 stages, Lucinda will be performing twice on Sunday, Oct. 8:
(1) as part of LampedUSA, at 2:45-3:35 PM, and
(2) her own set, at 5:50-7:00 PM.September 28, 2017 at 3:10 am #74434Mike_Doran
ParticipantThanks Paul..
Hadn’t seen that they posted the daily schedule yet.. Working out an itinerary as I type. Looking forward to being at both Lu performances.
The crowds are definitely a challenge.. one that traveling solo I usually have pretty good luck/skill at navigating. But each year is getting a little more difficult, must admit.
Another nice thing about this festival is the local concerts by some of the artists around town in the evenings. Likely going to a Chuck Prophet show and perhaps the Wood Brothers this trip. Last time Lu played she did a local show, but nothing this year it appears. An in store appearance at Amoeba records to promote album would be cool.. Just a thought. 😎

ParticipantNote that many performances from Hardly Strictly are being streamed live, and are archived for later viewing.
www.hardlystrictlybluegrass.com/2017/webcast
On Saturday, I watched Lillie Mae’s set on my home computer, and I was very impressed by the professional quality of the video feed–at least 4 live cameras mixed into the feed, with high-definition views of the large audience, stage, singers, and musicians.
Today, on Sunday, Lucinda will be playing, and (subject to performer approval) Lucinda might be included in the video feed. Concurrent performances are being streamed, so you can switch between different stages. If you have multiple devices and sufficient internet bandwidth, you might view multiple stages simultaneously–for example, Lucinda and Emmy Lou, both between 5:50 and 7 PM.

ParticipantNote: To find Lillie Mae’s performance in the archives, select Buddy Miller’s Cavalcade of Allstars, and move the time slider to between 1:55 hours and 2:35 hours.

KeymasterWho is the electric guitarist at the far left?
edit: Patty Griffin’s guitarist David Pulkingham per EmmyLou.

KeymasterGood show. A tad preachy. I was waiting for Pete Seeger to show up. Place was jammed. 2 Lu songs; World Without Tears and Bitter Memory. Bob Weir sat in for a ragged version of I Know You Rider. A solitary horse took in the entire proceedings from a trail right behind the stage.
I guess I should be a bigger Patty Griffin and Steve Earle fan than I am since they are celebrated members of the Americana thing.
