Thanks for the report, LWJ. Too bad KE couldn’t play a longer set, but I would have loved to have been there nonetheless, as she so rarely makes it to the SE US… 😉

Great info on Voyageur. Thanks Tom.
Annexed to that article is a review of the Sep.12th concert at The Winspear Opera house in Dallas with Justin and Ms. Edwards.
I thought I would attach a BIG strikingly beautiful photo of Kathleen from the show.K.E. Winspear Opera House.jpg[/attachment:1w534zq9]October 19, 2011 at 4:29 pm #41545LWjettaParticipantKE’s new album “Voyageur” release date 01/17/2012 (Pre order now)

If history is any indication (I pre-order a lot of CDs on Amazon), that price will be down to $9.99 or $10.99 by the time it ships… 😉
Tom
P.S. Love the “patch-work Great Lakes” art work on the cover. Brings to mind a humerous anecdote that Kathleen often tells from the stage about crossing the border between Canada & the U.S…. 😆
October 23, 2011 at 9:17 pm #41547LWjettaParticipantA new single release from the upcoming “Voyageur” album called “Side Car”
Have a listen.
tnt, I know you like dogs so here is the cover art for a great song.
Looks like Europe gets the CD release tour in 2012 before Eddie’s Attic or Canada.http://www.thelineofbestfit.com/2011/10/premiere-listen-kathleen-edwards-sidecar-song-of-the-day-350/kathleen-edwards Side Car.jpg[/attachment:2ldxh5pq]
This gal sure has a big bunch of creativity in her marketing.

Right on both counts, LWJ! I love, love, LOVE this cover shot! The retro-looking scooter w/ sidecar is cool as Hell as well, and Kathleen has a great expression on her face (and is as beautiful as ever).
Did I say I love the cover? Now let me go check out the song itself… 😆
Tom
October 23, 2011 at 9:28 pm #41549tntracyParticipantLOVE it! A “burst of pure unadulterated joy” & “a two minute forty second hit of unfiltered serotonin”, indeed! 😀
Thanks for the link LWJ! It is going to be hard to wait nearly 3 months for Voyageur to be released!
Tom
October 23, 2011 at 9:47 pm #41550tntracyParticipantMore info on the cover shot of “Side Car”: Kathleen posted a link to the song w/ the following on Facebook a few hours ago:
Hope you don’t mind me shooting you this link: Another track from my record out in the land of the internet…. it’s my buddy Tanner in the sidecar. And Rooster Coffeehouse provided the transportation!

It’s a wonderful serotonin { It is a well-known contributor to feelings of well-being; it is also known to contribute to happiness.} tune, glad you like it tnt. Yup, I had to look up that word. 😆 Certainly as good a vocabulary as stoger with his alternate word meaning for ferret.
Something’s screwy on pricing of the “Voyageur” CD.
Amazon US $16.24
Amazon CDN $35.89 -Dollar is virtually at parity. Go figure this one out.

I can’t speak to that seemingly outrageous Canadian pricing, LWJ, but as for the U.S. Amazon site, that is not that unusual. I pre-order a lot of CDs on Amazon.com & have noticed that in the very early stages of a pre-order, the price always starts at or near list. But, since Amazon uses a “dynamic pricing” system on many CDs where the price is driven by the number of pre-orders (the more pre-orders, the lower the price), It gradually goes down and, by the time the release date arrives, the CD is typically at the US $9.99 – US $11.99 range. In fact, they often will ship it at one price & then, if it drops further, they actually will refund me the difference. I love Amazon.com!
