P.S. What a great way to bring in 2010 to listen to and dialogue on good music, besides it’s snowing like heck where I am.January 1, 2010 at 10:07 pm #41481tntracyParticipant@LWjetta wrote:

Is it worthwhile to purchase with only 5 songs on it?I think so, but I got it from Amazon directly for $6.99 w/ free shipping (I am a long-time Amazon Prime member – pay $69 a year & get free two-day shipping on all direct-from-Amazon orders). It looks like now they no longer carry it. But, there are some “Like New” or “Very Good” condition used ones available from Amazon Marketplace sellers for less than $10 including shipping. I just wish it had the “I Make The Dough…” video on it, but I guess that is a bit much to ask for considering this disc came out 4 years before she made the video… 😆

Not here! (Although I am somewhat envious – I love snow.) It was sunny today here, but chilly for North Georgia – currently low 40’s with expected lows overnight all week in the upper teens / low 20’s – pretty cold for us wimpy Southerners!…

Yeah, I have this obsessive tendency to try and acquire every CD & DVD available for my favorite artists. But, keep trying! I’d love for you to uncover something I’m lacking! 😉

January 6, 2010 at 12:40 am #41485LWjettaParticipantOur Kathleen is working on a new collaboration album with John Roderick for 2010. ( for Long Winters )
Here is an excerpt from the recent article in Paste Magazine.
“Edwards initially established herself as a younger Lucinda Williams with her 2003 debut Failer, and the comparison still rings true two studio albums later. But in hopes of changing directions, if only slightly, Edwards asked Roderick a few months ago if he could help steer the way”.
And here is the full article.

How about this one. “Building 55” ? Kathleen’s first recording. Interesting title. I wonder where this came from.
Building 55 was an EP released in 1999 by Canadian singer-songwriter Kathleen Edwards. Only 500 copies of the EP were printed, and it has become a highly sought-after collector’s item following the success of Edwards’ subsequent albums Failer, Back To Me and Asking for Flowers.

January 9, 2010 at 9:06 pm #41487LWjettaParticipantAnother Kathleen Edwards EP.
This was released in Sep./08 called “Live Session EP”-a ITunes exclusive.
Here are the details:http://itunes.apple.com/ca/album/live-session-itunes-exclusive/id290830946
Says, maybe only available in Canada, eh.Funny, I was sorting out my record collection the other day, and noticed Kathleen has her own production company.
You can see the name on the jewel cases. It is called “Potty Mouth Productions, Inc.Doesn’t seem like an appropriate name she chose, since she is such a timid, mild-mannered musician. Haw Haw.
